From start to finish we had a wonderful time.
We found the starting point at the top of Parque Eduardo vII with no problem.
Our guide for the morning was Andre, an absolute gem. The bikes were GT and in good condition. We peddled at an easy pace and stopped at various locations were Andre gave us just enough background to the stop without overloading us with information. At one stop in the city Andre treated us to the local Cherry liqueur, not too much, so we could still ride in a straight line. Through the city to the waterfront, were we had a short break and Andre again treated us, this time to a Pastis de Belem.
Along the side of the River Tagus we went to Belem, again stopping at various points of interest.
We were sorry when the tour ended as we could have carried on all day. A brilliant ride led by the brilliant Andre; obregardo.
After the ride ,if you want some good food at a very reasonable price, go to the modern building housing the Centro cultural. The cafe bar on the top floor [not the restaurant] has decent food at decent prices.
