“First and best hostel experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2011

This was the first time me and my girlfriend tried a hostel, and it definitely didn't disappoint!
First off, the people who worked there were very nice and helpful, always giving tips for the better beaches, the best bars and great things to do in the city. This hostel is also one of the gathering points for the free walking tours trough Lisbon. It's the best way to discover the city, and our guid José knew lost of stuff normal tourguides wouldn't tell you, because they're not born and raised in the city, Definitely worth a try. I can also be full of respect regarding the accomodations; good breakfast, everything was clean and the beds were soft and comfortable. I reccomend this hostel to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Lisbon. At least it was our first and best experience yet!

Room Tip: Come in early, before noon. That's the most likely time other guests will leave and beds bec

I have been here since June 27th and leave tomorrow morning. This hostel was chosen for myself and the 3 girls I am working with by the company we're working for, and they could not have done a better job! The service is excellent, the staff friendly, the music awesome and the accommodations impressive. There are several bathrooms, a laundry area, and a fully equipped kitchen for those who want to cook. The location is awesome--only about 5 to 10 minutes of walking to get to some incredible restaurants, a gorgeous pier, and tons of shopping-for anything! The hostel is right by a metro station and is only about a 10 minute walk to the train station. Taxis and busses can be caught right outside the front door. There isn't anything I would change about this hostel, and I can't wait to come back at the end of the month!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night when we arrived to Lisbon. People working here are very friendly and helpful; the location is ideal, at the heart of Lisbon's city center. The dorm rooms are clean and newly refurbished, it seems. Breakfast is included in the price, which is a plus. I definitely recommend it to travellers who look for a hostel.

If I could go back and re-rate hostels that I have given 100s to in the past, I would, because they don´t deserve a 100 after staying at this place. The staff was INCREDIBLE (helped me book future trains, etc) and the actual hostel was like a nice hotel. You couldn´t get at a better location. LITERALLY overlooking the center. No questions, don´t stay anywhere else in Lisbon!

We were a group of 4 friends, we stayed there during Easter holiday and we found it great. The staff is very nice and helpful, the place is very cosy, nice decoration and well organized. We shared a 12 mixed dorm, the beds are very comfortable, with lockers just below them. Bathrooms are clean, various available (separate showers for men and women, toilets and toilet+shower). The kitchen was great, including all facilities. You can enjoy a great view from the breakfast room and the living room. Breakfast was basic (coffee, tea, butter, marmelade, cheese), but good, especially the bread. Free access to internet 24h, 2 computers available. The location of the hostel is also very good: next to the tram station, metro and just at the beginning of the area with bars and night life. After the night spent at this hostel, we went to 2 other hostels that had nothing to do with this one in price/quality, cleaness, location. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to any young traveller.

I really could not fault this hostel! We stayed for five nights and the staff made us feel welcome and could not do enough for us. We had the whole hostel to ourselves and so were able to use the hostel as our "home" for those five days. We were able to use the good cooking facilities and relax in the spacious lounge. We were central to everything we wanted to do in Lisbon and only a ten minute walk to the train for travelling out of Lisbon. If there was one criticism there are not enough toilets when the hostel is full, however the advantages far supassed the disadvantages and the hostel was spotlessly clean. A real find!

One of the best deals i had in months of hostels was this one. A desginer hostel which is at first a bit hard to find....but when you get there it is more like a hotel. That had the drawback that it felt a bit too formal for my taste, but the quality of the bed, breakfast, free wifi and lockers makes it all up.

There is but one negative point to make. Since this hostel is located on a lively square it does get noisy because people outside party on.
