Of all our museum and gallery visits on Lisbon, this was the best so far. The old power station with the equipment restored and in situ ( not working). It is in the Belem area.
Pros:
Bright, clean, well maintained and good labelling and descriptions - even in English
Great for lovers of industrial machinery with a passion for science.
Good 'play' area describing the workings of electricity and a nice set of images reflecting on the socio-economic effects of the power station and its workers..... plus the effects of the war.
Cons:
Hard to get to across the roads and train tracks- look for the white bridge....
