“A Gastronomic Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

We are just back from Lisbon and our party of three has traveled together for a number of years, enjoying fine dining in a number of European countries. If you want a good dinner, there are many places in Lisbon that will offer you a fine meal. This restaurant stands out, however, as a fine culinary experience; an education in the art of fine cuisine. The quality of the dishes, the care of their preparation, and the thoughtful delivery to the table was nothing less than exceptional. One member of our party is allergic to most seafood and the substitutions offered in the tasting menu were superb! If you choose this restaurant, by all means take at least the basic (called "classic") wine pairings; the range of food requires it and the education about Portuguese wine that you will receive is worthy of a culinary class. This is not dinner - it is culinary education!

“Professional and easy-going staff serving wonderful dishes”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

The place is well worth the climb. Excellent waiters and sommelier made us feel very welcome from the start. The menu was excellent, containing everything I expected and much more. The paired wine menu may feel costly, but works really well with the dishes. A great place to celebrate your special occasion.

“Gourmet Tasting Menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Special treat to enjoy inventive and delicious Portuguese food. Very professional service. Correspondingly costly. Unfortunately, a bit too crowded and noisy for a relaxing evening out.

“Gastronomic experience in the Bairro Alto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We were just wandering in the tiny streets of Bairro Alto and we saw that tiny place with a queue waiting to be seated. Intrigued we booked there for the next day... and we had amazing food! And wonderful Portuguese wines. If you like to be surprised book here as there's only one unique menu every day.
