“Great food and great value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

A lovely small restaurant. Two main courses of fresh fish and salad/veg, and wine (one litre!), coffee for just 20 euro. Great food, a relaxed environment, and superb value. We will definitely be visiting this gem of a restaurant again.

“Great local food, low prices, great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

Great family restaurant on the way from Praça Rossio to Bairro Alto.
Senhor Jorge waits the tables, helped by his daughter, while his wife rules the kitchen. They serve fresh fish (dourada, corvina, salmão), good meat and the occasional bacalhau. The environment is nice, the service is quick and the prices are really low (around 12 euros for a meal, including drinks and dessert). Desserts are deadly and very good, in Portuguese style :-).
I've been bringing friends who visit Lisbon to this restaurant for years, they've always been very happy.

“Great little restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

Great little restaurant serving real Portuguese freshly cooked food. Lovely owner and nice relaxed environment. Massive servings of meat and fish dishes for around 7 euros. No English menu but the waiter is happy to translate it for you.

“Fantastic, affordable food in an area full with tourist traps”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2012

Fantastic food, decent prices, and it is popular with locals, too.
The area is filled with waiters wanting to push their menus into our unwilling hands as it is just off the big stairs connecting the higher up Barrio Alto with the Praça Dom Pedro IV/Rossio area. Not so at the Moura Saluquia. That was one of the reason we returned to the restaurant after having a look at a few other menus. Excellent choice. The owner explained the complete Portugese menu to us in broken English, Portugese and hand gestures and then, after asking, if we prefer fish or meat, helped us decide on our individual perfect dinner.
We left the restaurant perfectly happy and, if in the area, will try to return for another meal.
