Not really charming, bad if you stay by stairs because you can hear everything, including the stomping of heavy bags on wheels trying to make it up the two flights to the reception desk. Bring earplugs!!!
Rooms were fairly clean but carpet kinda old, furnishings slightly dingy. Bathrooms were renovated though.
Good location, nice looking restaurant next door although we didn't have a chance to try. Public parking lot accross the street and the Rossio subway stop make it very convenient. Staff was nice.
If I had to, I'd stay there again but MUCH PREFERRED Residencial Florescente, where we stayed on the second leg of our trip, on the nice Ruas das Portas de Santo Antão pedestrian street, just accross the square towards the Hard Rock cafe. Very small rooms but a much more charming place with elevator.
