“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

Stayed here from 23rd to the 26th of January. Great hotel in a very good location, only a 3 minute walk from nearest metro station, same distance from tram stops and on the same street as stop for hop on, hop off bus tours.
Rooms are quite small but that's the same as most capital city's but they are very clean and modern.
Staff at the front desk were very helpful, especially the young man. He was happy to spend time showing us all of the local attractions on a map and giving us the lowdown on where to go and eat.
Only downside was the breakfast, we did not book it before hand as we thought we could find some elsewhere but we struggled to find anywhere so ended u p having breakfast at the hotel for 2 days. Very expensive at 15 Euros each for a continental breakfast.

We read lots of reviews before booking this hotel and they seem to echo our experience. The hotel is small, but perfectly formed. Our room was an OK size with a feature wall, modern fittings and a comfortable bed. The wet room had a double shower and double sinks and was fairly large. What made our stay so great was the fantastic attitude of the staff. Marcos and the others on the front desk were friendly and helpful and all spoke good English. Louis in the bar was super. Most of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance, so we walked - a lot! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good value city break.

Room Tip: Can't help with rooms - we only saw ours which was on the second floor - without a view and a li...

We enjoyed our overall stay and we look forward to our return to a great city, people and hotel!! The hotel is very nice from the entrance to the front reception to the corridor that leads to restaurant/ elevator to rooms..

Just one street away from the shopping center and the many restaurants. In walking distance from many of the city's landmarks and monuments. But still, the hotel is in a quiet street, except for some inevitable city noise. Modern decor, friendly staff and great service. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional. Next time I'd skip breakfast in the hotel and go out and try one of the many street-restaurants that are just around the corner.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 4th floor with the small balconies. Great view.

this hotel is in the nobel area of lisbon. most likely because it is about 5 walking minutes from the ocean promenade with fine restaurants around the praca do comercio and the shopping mile rua augusta. all kinds of seafood restaurants and fast food restaurants. souvenir shops, coffee shops, tea shop, and even a design museum...no fee.

around the corner from the hotel you can take the tram 28...again watch out for pick pocketers. the subway is also 3 minute walk from the hotel. tip take the €6,00 subway ticket per person for the day. you can get off and on as much as you want instead of taking the lisbon card. it is more expensive.

now the hotel itself. a small but fine design hotel. on their website the lobby looks bigger than what is is, but who hangs out in the lobby. but they made it cozy. the greeting was friendly and helpful. the room is what you see on their website. the hotel was built about 10 years ago and looks new and was clean. a small room but cutely designed and a super light system. the bathroom too was very nice and with a rain shower. i have nothing negative to say. the amenities were replaced everyday but bring hair conditioner with you 'cause in this hotel as opposed to the vincci in sevilla they did not give us this and the shampoo makes your hair unmanageable. ( :-) )..ladies. a beauty parlor you can find 3 minutes around the corner in a side street parallel to the rua augusta walking towards the dom pedro statue. or on the other corner from the restaurant cais das colunas, rua da victoria. very friendly ladies.

we ate in the hotel on the 24th of december and on the 31st of december and both meals were delicious. and also on other days like the caesar salad, bacalhau and more. the waiter luis bernadino is a top waiter, attentative, cordial what one wishes to experience from other waiters. in addition not to exclude that the rest of the restaurant team was top, too!

in lisbon it is sometimes a little difficult to communicate with the people in the restaurants or by shopping although i speak english, spanish and german. the majority only speaks their own language. otherwise a great place to visit with a lot of museums and palaces to see.

all in all a very pleasant stay and a very recommandable hotel.

My partner and I deliberately chose this hotel for its easy access to the waterfront, central location and a number of traditional Fado bars within a few minutes walk from the hotel, we were not disappointed in any respect and we would rate this small hotel as the best located in Lisbon for first timers to the city who want everything on their doorstep, including peace and quiet within their hotel room.
Reception was fine and although the room we had was smaller than we are used to, we found the decoration to be of a modern grey/black on a silver/chrome and white background; very glitzy and expensive in overall appearance, imagine being a film star in a posh hotel in Rome and you will get the general idea. On the down side, we found the coffee making machine in the room over-complicated for our brain cells but perhaps that's the price you pay for modernity.
The hotels dining facilities for breakfast were okay but much better choice was available within one minutes walk outside the hotel and substantially cheaper. If I ever went back to Lisbon we would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony attached, sleeping is much better with a breeze coming in from outside...

A block from the Praca do Comercio but on a quiet street - most of the hotels I see in Baixa are right smack in the middle of touristy streets (=noise). The rooms are small, as they are in Europe, but well-equipped with a modern decor. The staff is helpful, restaurant breakfast decent. Wifi is speedy and reliable.
