Description: Cimas restaurant is managed by Cimas family since 1952.Standing in a charming chalet with a view floating over the water Cimas restaurant denies none of Portugal´s traditional cuisine. Clients may chose several house specialties, ranging from traditional Portuguese food to international and refined dishes .We may suggest the Baked Sea-Bass with Clams, the Cray Fish au gratin, and the game specialties like the Partridge with Madeira wine or the emblematic Woodcock Flambé. For the dessert the Crepes Suzette are a must.

“Quiet, pleasant and tasty”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Very good food and service. Quiet and cosy place. A stroke of English atmosphere with view to the sea. The best vinaigrette I've ever tried. I took it with artichokes as starter. Then the partridge was delicious. I only think it shouldn't come with chips, pommes frites, perhaps with a "gratin de pommes de terre" or roast potatoes would it taste even better. A marvellous evening!

“Old School as it should be.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013 via mobile

Excellent classic ( in every sense of the word) restaurant in very pleasant English cottage style.
Professional service and first class cuisine completes a top experience. Slightly difficult to find, but fully worth the trouble.

“Delicious time travel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

How often have we passed Cimas towering above the sea road Marginal in Estoril? It always looked inviting, charmingly old-fashioned, but somehow we never stopped. Big Mistake. When we heard a mouthwatering praise from a friend the other day we decided, time to pay a visit. After trying to find the somewhat hidden Entrance we enter this replica of an English cottage and are greeted by an army of eager waiters. All very old school, very elegant and very correct. It is only 7.30, so we are the first guests and take a window table with prime views. Looking around I am amazed by this place. It is like someone has beamed us back to the past. Dark wood and dimmed table lights, one could almost be on an old ocean liner. Especially with this sea view... Stuffed birds decorate a long table and I wonder if this might be the food we will be eating. Guess I am right, as when we study the menu we come across some odd sounding dishes in the game section. Feeling adventurous my husband opts for a woodpecker(yes!) and I take the Madeira simmered partridge. Nibbling on bread and a delicious pâte we watch the restaurant fill up with a rather chic and well-to-do crowd. We hear english, french and german and enjoy the sophisticated atmosphere with a delicious red, suggestion of our waiter. Our birds arrive and after a bit of starting difficulties (how do I eat this?) the tender meat melts in our mouths, so delicate and fine, absolutely delectable. I cannot resist to try the woodpecker (oh my, it is such a cute bird) and the meat is some sort of a mix of chicken and liver, a totally new taste but just outrageously yummy. Sadly there is no room left for sweets, but we enjoy a nice cup of tea before heading back into the 21.century. The food, the ambiance, the waiters - perfect! We will be back soon.

“Fabulous food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012 via mobile

I came here for a business dinner with colleagues. The restaurant has old fashioned charm, elegance and service. The food was of the highest quality and the service was attentive without being fussy. It is a little away from the centre of Estoril, but well worth the walk.
