Definately a Lisbon Landmark as it is Historic and offers an interesting blend of Architecture. It's situated on the belem waterfront, linking The Monument of Discoveries and, through a very well landscaped "park" area, the Monastery across the street. Nice spot for a couple of pics, but that's about it....
Not a huge presence, I'm afraid, as it actually appears quite dwarfed by the immense open space around it..... It's value def. lies on what it represents and it's history and not much more. Apreciate the History and architecture, snap a couple of shots then continue on along the Tagus watching locals catch fish as you make your way to the Monastery.... I would probably start here, buy the combined ticket (10 Euros includes the Monastery) and after visiting both sites, make sure to stop at the "Casa Pasteis de Belem" for Java and their delicious "Pasteis de Nata" (see reviews)!!
Hope this helps!! KS
