“Good value, excellent tour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

This is a must do in Aveiro. The price was reasonable for the time involved and the guide was very good, knowledgeable and amusing.

Saw a lot you otherwise would miss. Highly recommend

“EXCELLENT”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

Even though they had just raised the price from five to eight euros because of the tourist season it is still excellent value for money and the boat staff were superb although not able to speak english they had a book in english detailing all points of interest on the tour and a good way to see the city.

“Really worth the 5€!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014 via mobile

If you think you'll be seeing the Portuguese Venice, you'll be disapointed, but if you know beforehand that you'll only be going to 3 (of 4, it seems) canals, your expectations will be more realistic and you will probably enjoy yourself. I did. The guy that was a mix between tour guide and moliceiro (the name of the typical Aveiro boats, as well as of those who manouvre it) "assistant" was really funny, so we has many laughs and a great time.

“A great orientation to Aveiro”

Even on a rainy afternoon, this short boat trip gave us an overview and unique perspective of the city. A must-do for first time visitors

“Like Venice! How Good is Your Imagination?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

We stopped here in the afternoon on our tour of Portugal. It was great to see the town beside the river and the beautifully painted boats, (which you could take a ride in), going up and down the river. The sun and bright colours of the boats made for some creative shots, but to call this little town Venice is stretching it! Never the less it is a lovely little place to visit.
Tip: Try the sweets made in a little barrel or shell shape, which are only 70c each. They are the local delicacy made here and are yummy. The centre is bright yellow, like an egg yolk and it is very sweet - one is plenty! It would go well with coffee or tea! Worth a try. Wherever we go, we always endeavour to taste the local speciality, as this makes our holiday more interesting and enjoyable.
