“Nice place with great owners!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2012

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Vitoriana! We were greeted by the owner’s son as she (Margarida) was away upon on our arrival. He was so helpful and provided great recommendations for activities and restaurants in town. We had reserved a suite in the main home, Quarto Vitória, which was large and very clean. However, if you can, try to rent an apartment, as they are more private, include a kitchenette, and situated right within the lovely garden on the property.
The best things about Casa Vitoriana are:
-Location in the city- just minutes walk to the Avenida and main squares in town (gates to the city); if you are lucky enough to be in town during one of the city’s many religious festivals, it’s a nice walk from the hotel to witness in town.
-Beautiful garden- walk through the lovely fruit and vegetable garden or enjoy it from one of the many terraces in the house. Margarida is very generous sharing in-season fruits and veggies with her guests.
-Wonderful hospitality and help with any questions or issues during our visit.

We recommend Casa Vitoriana. Thank you Margarida (and Bernardo) for a wonderful stay!

Room Tip: We would reserve an apartment instead of the suites on a return visit

We stayed at this lovely home in June 2011. It had a charming atmosphere with a lovely garden to sit in, if required. The owner is very helpful. The room we had came with a small "kitchenette"
so we were able to make our own breakfast and even alight lunch if we felt like it. The house is very centrally located - easy walking distance to lots of restaurants and anywhere!!
Would definitely return here.

My husband and I stayed in the ground floor "Nespera" apartment and the experience was unique and relaxing. The garden, architecture and furnishings of Casa Vitoriana are beautiful. The room comes with a kitchen, (sink, microwave, electric teapot and teas), and looks out over part of the garden. When we arrived, the "lobby" or hall way of the hotel, was refreshing out of the hot afternoon sun, with classical music and increase greeting us, as well as the super friendly and knowledgeable proprietress (a native Azorian.) Although the price was perhaps a bit higher than other B&B type establishments (and they only accepted cash), it was well worth it. I would highly recommend the Casa Victoriana.

We spend a few days in february on Sao Miguel and in the Casa Vitoriana. The owner Margarida is as helpful as can be, without being at all intrusive. Her property is exactly what we wanted for quiet holidays --charming, accessible, and comfortable. We will definitely be back - hopefully again and again!

This was my second trip to Ponta Delgada and Casa Vitoriana. Both times I stayed in the garden apartments. It was most enjoyable to drink my morning coffee outside in the garden and leasurely read in the afternoon. The house is centrally located so walking anywhere is so easy. It was the perfect retreat after a busy day of exploring.

I would highly recommend a stay at one of the places that Casa Vitoriana has to offer. We stayed in Casa Grande for two nights and were very happy and comfortable. Margarida, the owner, is most definitely a character! Being in an apartment-style accommodation was a great way to feel right at home as an Azorean in Ponta Delgada.
