We stayed here for one night we live fairly locally, it was my Husband's birthday when we arrived the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. we arrived very early for check in so had a drink in the outside bar area and it was beautiful. when we got into our room again it was perfect very light and bright and simply decorated in a modern design. the views from the balcony were simply stunning. as it was my Husbands birthday the staff had provided a bottle of champagne and some delicious brownie fudge cake which was to die for i think i ate most of that. we went for a walk around the local area and had some lunch . we drove to cape st vincent to watch the sunset and came back to the hotel for our dinner which we ate in the restaurant. the service was very good and the food was lovely very well presented and tasted very good i would highly recommend you eat here even if you are not on holiday and want a very nice meal somewhere different.
we had breakfast which again was in the restaurant with lovely views in a bright and very clean surroundings.
all in all we had a very pleasant stay and would defiantly stay and eat here again.

From the friendly staff on reception to the cheery bar tender and smiling breakfast crew, this has to be one of the most easy going and effortless boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. Cool clean rooms in a modern design classic with outstanding views over the Sagres coastline make for a relaxing and charming retreat. You won't find a better base for exploring the the beaches and hinterland of Sagres and the Wild west coast of Portugal...Feels like a secret about to be discovered

The Memmo Baleeira turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. For the (relatively) low daily rate, one gets excellent accommodation, a truly helpful staff, and one of the most beautiful views ever. The rooms are large, have cooking facilities, with balconies facing the Porto Baleeira. The hotel is located at walking distance from several restaurants, although its own restaurant is pretty fine. On the flip side, there's no in-room wifi Internet. But this is a minor sin: with a view like that, who needs to be online?

This is a bit of a find! For architecturally minded people, it's inspirational. The service was the only thing that slightly let it down, but not enough to spoil the experience. It's a cool and beautifully designed hotel. The rooms are comfortable and clean,the lounge/bar area is a great place to chill and there's a great pool area too with plenty of loungers. September was a good time to go as it wasn't busy and the location is great to get to lots of beaches. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
