We ordered three dishes, 2 dried bacalao and a house bacalao. The food was unpalatable, and, for the first time in our Portugal visit, we left a lot of food on the plate.
The fish itself was not fresh. The preparation was sloppy: 8 pieces of raw garlic chopped up and sprinkled on top of flavorless chewy fish, soggy french fries soaked in fish juice, boiled potatoes flavorless and overdone, one with a bug glued to it, wilted salad with one leaf that was slimy and rotten while the shredded carrots and onions were dry.
The owner is jovial, but he needs to be a lot more jovial to make up for the food. 50 euros for the worst food we've had in Portugal, and some unhappy stomachs: not worth it.
