“Great landscape and...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012

We spent one night in this Pousada and we just walked-in and took the last room available being peak season.
It was not sea view unfortunately. The size was ok, bed confortable but the floor was not really cleaned when we get in. This is probabily the only aspect to point out.
Instead of the hotel restaurant we preferred to have dinner outside and took the suggestion from the lady at the reception for a seafood restaurant where the port is. Staff was very kind and lobby areas in different styles are really nice.
Breakfast was ok, we found a lot of choices and it is nice to have it outside.

The hotel is well situated with beatifull view, has very nice staff members, large and clean rooms. Some good restaurants like TASCA is in the walking distance. Breakfest was OK, while do not expect fish...May be very windy near the pool. Water in the pool is not very warm, at least in th windy day. Plan walking during a day and than you will be pleased to rest in the hotel.

Hotel is located at an excellent location, overlooking bay and sandy beach, opposite
the fortress.Basically that's all which is good about the hotel because the rest is
absolutely not up to 04 star standard and very much overpriced. The rooms are old
and bathrooms really need renovations immediately.Breakfast is average and not
much variety in dishes. We had the feeling of staying at a hostel and not an a hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms have the same poor standard of luxury.Be carefull to choose this hotel.

Great location for the surf beaches on the West coat and access to the quieter beaches on the South, large rooms, huge beds, great public areas.. Free WiFi in 30 mins chunks.

Can be a little windy... but that is a good thing on a hot day.

Short walk into town.

Room Tip: Ask for a West or South West facing room.

Stayed only one night during round trip in Algarve and Alentejo.
Very nice hotel, good breakfast (dinner is less spectacular), nice and clean rooms but the most stunning is the location: situated on Algarve cliffs this is a top location with beautiful beaches.
Ideal hotel for a stop, not for longer period.
Near to Lagos ans Portimao to the East and Cabo St Vincente in the West.
Do a little effort and visit also the beaches some kilometers up to the North, there are some spectacular sights...

Lovely hotel on top of cliffs at the "end of the world". Five minute walk to gorgeous beach. Free WiFi in the common areas and since our room was right above the lounge, we had WiFi in our room too. We booked a suite since that was the only room available; within 10 minutes of checking in, we were given complimentary fruit, cookies and champagne! Lovely touch!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool have great views of the cliffs.
