Apolo was near the top in Trip advisor in Loule when we looked it up, so we decided to give it a try. It is on a pedestrianised street near the market, with simple plastic chairs, tables with table cloths and paper tops. Not fine dining, but the reviews of the food are good. We opted for the starters of clams in garlic (superb) and melon and ham (copious and delicious). This was followed by the pork in a creamy sauce with rice and peas, and lamb chops, also served with rice and peas. Totally delicious both of them. For desserts we had the Creme Caramel and Carob Tart with Ice Cream. Both fine. We had a bottle of wine and water. Three courses, wine, water and coffees came to an astounding €44. Good family cooking at spectaculalrly good prices. Well worth a visit (as is Loule).
