I highly recommend this hotel.
Excellent staff, friendly and very accommodating. Room has very comfortable beds. Breakfast was scrumptious, nice variety of selections.
Location is within walking distance from the beaches and the center.

My husband and I spent our anniversary at this charming little residence which lived up to its name. We booked a Junior Romantic Suite and it was really lovely, complete with a full kitchen. The location is very convenient, close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Algarve region, and is a very short drive to the tip of Eastern Europe - Sagres. Just next to this Villas is a quaint little snack bar restaurant with a very charming bartender, Balthazar, who is very friendly and they serve good food if you don't wish to walk too far for food. We enjoyed our stay at Villas D. Dinis and would highly recommend it for honeymooners! Two thumbs up!

I travelled here end of aug into early sept 2014 for 1week with my fiance and was not disappointed. We had a room overlooking the pool in the golphinos block just across the road from the main reception, it was stunning! Very peaceful had the feeling of a private villa, all rooms have their own little terrace with table and chairs..great for eating lunch in the shade. We booked a double room bed and breakfast, which was served on the terrace in the main building across the road. Lots to choose from and well worth choosing this option. The rooms are all individually decorated with a small kitchenette with a good sized fridge, the grounds of both blocks are very pretty and felt very Portuguese. Complimentary WiFi also included which was handy to keep In touch with family back home. The staff were very helpful, letting us use their shower on our last day after we had checked out allowing us to soak up the last bit of sun before heading home. Praia da doña Ana beach is a couple of minutes walk (turning left on the Main Street from the reception) where you can catch a little boat to take you through the caves for around 20euros for a 20minute trip. Camilo beach is also within walking distance taking around 10-15mins (turning right on the Main Street from the reception) lots of steps so better suited to a keen walker! There is a pub right next door also offering food , staff were lovely and very helpful helping us getting around and giving us a history lesson! A little shop a minute walk away great for stocking up on food and drink to enjoy around the pool. Took us a long time to find the main town -walking in circles as all the streets look the same! Then realised if you just turn left out of the main entrance from the reception and follow the road all the way down it will take you straight in to town 10/15 mins walk. A few restaurants on the way into town and also a spar supermarket great to stock up the fridge!
Lots of restaurants and quirky bars in town catering for couples, families and backpackers of all ages. A nice classy resort not full of drunk teenagers! Yet not snobby or expensive either. The dolphin watching boat trip and kayaking excursion through the caves is a must!! Overall we loved everything - felt very safe, not overcrowded with English tourists and also felt very Portuguese - well worth visiting so just book it! I am sure you will not be disappointed, we would love to return in the future.

Room Tip: We requested a room beside the pool in the golphinos block -stunning! All the rooms looked lovely so...

We absolutely loved this place. Excellence service at this charming & quiet place. Location is perfect between two of the best beaches in Lagos. Our room was perfect, petals in our bed every morning, cute kitchenette, Wi-Fi access perfectly working. Breakfast was very good!
We will come back to this place anytime.

The name "Charming residence" is definitely truly deserved. We got a nice little apartment with pool at casa de golhinos. The residence is located in the outskirts of Lagos, close to the beaches, very calm and ideal to relax.

this place probably deserves a 4.5 mark. We were not in the main hotel but we were in the other section just around the corner where most of the rooms are around the small but cute pool. our room was nice and big with a tidy bathroom with new looking shower, we also had a small kitchenette in the corner as we asked for self catering but unfortunately it is too small for doing main dinners so we only cooked breakfasts which was still nice to eat by the poolside in the morning. We did have breakfast at the main hotel one morning but it is poor value for what is on offer, we were charged 12 euros each and that was way overpriced.
Our maid was very hard working and the room was cleaned every day with clean towels every second day.
There was the issue of barking dogs that had been reported previously and it is not just 1 dog but many dogs howling and barking all around the adjacent area, this of course is not the fault of the hotel but something to bear in mind. There does seem to be a problem with many dogs roaming the streets of Lagos.
The hotel is just on the edge of town which is no more than a 10 minute stroll away, there is a pub called O Amigos near the hotel, but our evenings their was destroyed by smokers who are allowed in the bars of Lagos which is something else to bear in mind.

Room Tip: ask to stay in goldolpinos complex as it is quieter

We were welcomed by the owner of the hotel who was extremely helpful. We were then led to our stunning from which was remote, quiet and idyllic. We stepped in and were taken aback by the beautiful princess bed and rose petals spread all over.

A chilled bottle of wine was awaiting us in the fridge of the kitchen which was included into our room, which was a lovely gesture.

The room was very clean and sheltered from the blistering sun. We had our own private taper race with a stunning view to the awesome pool. Each small area of the hotel had its own pool which was superb!

We were late for breakfast and the owner himself made sure that we were given a beautiful breakfast served by very hospitable waiters. We were even offered wine alongside our buffet which was fit to serve a king, or two princesses in our case!

Overall it was a very enjoyable stay with beautiful grounds and accommodation! Greatly situated, only a few minutes walk to the nicest beaches of Lagos!

Shame we didn't stay longer, will definitely return! This is an ideal getaway for couples and to let your hair down and relax!
