We visited this restaurant in great anticipation during our summer holiday after reading about it in a guide book; we were not disappointed. No pre-bookings are accepted so we took our chances and arrived reasonably early on the evening. After a short wait, we were shown to our table which was at the very far corner of the narrow long restaurant near the kitchen. The atmosphere was buzzing with cheerful conversation as the tables were close to each other which encouraged chats between tables. Also the staff were good-humoured, efficient and friendly.
The menu was mouth-watering and a challenge to narrow down to a selection. We had starters, main courses and desserts. The salads were to die for, the lasagne was declared as the best ever by our teenage children and we had no room left for the desserts so these were tastefully packaged up for us to bring home. The wine selection was excellent. The only thing that impeded our complete satisfaction was the heat, it was July, there appeared to be no air conditioning and because our table was so far from the open door and so near the kitchen, my wife was actually feeling faint towards the end of the meal.
In summary, excellent fresh food, good service and well priced, a culinary experience that was truly enjoyed.
