“Good choice.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 3, 2012

Just back from 10 days here and have to say the apts which were more like suites were very good. Immaculately clean and well equipped with decent sitting and dining area, small but good kitchenette and decent size bedroom which also had a TV. Both TV's had Sky news, BBC1, ITV1 and Eurosport. All staff were very friendly and helpful printing off timetables for us. The pool area well kept and apts were really just starting to gear up for the season so they were still quite quiet. Didn't eat in the resaurant as there were so many nearby and quite a bit cheaper. It was about a 10 min stroll into town down hill but not steep and a few local snack bars / restaurants just outside the apts worth trying. We only had breakfast ( food bought from local supermarkets) in our apt and ate out locally for lunch and dinner and it really was not too expensive to eat out. Only downside was the weather wasn't the best when we were here but we still enjoyed our holiday and would choose The Aqualuz again if returning to Lagos.

Room Tip: Most have pool view but some get sun more than others. Top floor balconies get most sun.

I visited the Aqualuz end of march with my fiance. The hotel/apartments are excellent and a great base for exploring Lagos and the surrounding area. We had an 1 bed apartment on the fourth floor. This had a great view. The apartment looked recently refurbished to a high standard. The self catering facilities were the best I have had. Plenty of brand new cuttlery, plates, pans, glasses. Everything you need including toaster electric hobs, microwave and fridge. The town was not that far and we walked into town at least a couple of times a day. Just after passing through Lagos walls on the left there is a takeaway that sells piri piri chicken chips and a drink for 5 euros and was good if you were caught out or just wanting something simple. You cant miss it as this is the closest part for going through the walls into town from the hotel. We had a car and the Intermarche was just up the road from the hotel. The closest beach was Praia Dona Ana however abit cold to swim this time of year as was the pool hotel. Coming this time of year we knew this would be the case and had fun exploring Lagos and also soaked up some sun by the pool. Would definately recommend this hotel and the staff were always there to help.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Aqualuz last september and had a great stay. The room was extremely clean and was cleaned daily. There were always plenty of sun loungers and the breakfast was good. Lagos is a beautiful place and the beaches are stunning. I highly recommend the resort and the hotel was such a reasonable price. All in all a great holiday!

To be honest, I didn't really know what an apartment hotel was. What you get here is really a small suite, with a small galley type kitchen, and a dining table and four chairs so that you have the option of eating in if you want. There is a restaurant where we were glad we had taken the breakfast option. It was a typical European breakfast - bread, cheeses, meats pastries fruit etc but with eggs or bacon if you request it.

The hotel is smart, clean and - when we went in February - quiet, though that must change in season. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is a walk fom the old town - but only 10 minutes, which we enjoyed. It would be a problem only for somebody elderly or infirm.
Plenty of options for those wanting pools or a gym - I'm sure they are fine!

Room Tip: There are balconies that get the sun, and some that definitely don't.

We were there in mid December 2011. So not many people staying. Really liked it. Clean rooms, nice people working there, easy and free parking, close to town walking.

Room Tip: My guess is in the high season it might be a lot louder than I could handle but it goes with the ter...

In October the hotel was very quiet. The bar was empty most nights and the sun loungers had been packed away signalling the end of the season. Despite this, the standard of the room and hotel staff could not be faulted
