Visiting Lagos and had one restaurant (so-so) the first night, a "highly recommended" one from TripAdvisor the second (pitiful. Really disappointing, actually pretty awful all things considered) and then this one.
I was looking for sardines and pizza (two of us, different desires). Pizza isn't always great and/or sardines/seafood. Was doing the 'over the shoulder' look at all the eateries I was passing by and hung out by their menu until I saw someone eating pizza (looked fab) and sardines (looked ultra-fab). I knew right away, this would be it.
We had the best sardines I've ever had...huge, plump, perfectly grilled, lightly oiled and salted, and all of it from head to toe, except spine, incredibly delicious. Yes, tail and head!! (the head was perhaps the most flavourful part).
The pizzas, both nights, also quite good.
The dessert...crepe with cream, chocolate, ice cream and banana (as usual, they added the banana that wasn't an offered menu combo without reservation when I asked) and it was HUGE and soooo good.
The sangria well priced, sparking! The green wine another night, so cheap and very refreshing.
Don't hesitate to ask for anything you don't see..I didn't want potato, so they brought me a whole extra plate of steamed broccoli with my dinner and that banana with dessert.
We are going back for night three, our last night, and expect the same. Really, so highly recommended for great value, great eye candy (outside seating worth the wait), and the non-Brit cooked food. Can't vouch for anything else on the menu but saw these seafood pots (like large paella pans with steel lids) with huge amounts of seafood that people were sharing. Everyone looked happy and the accordionist on the street, both nights, was the bomb!
