My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Vivenda Miranda. The view is absolutely breathtaking and you feel that you are in your own world away from the tourist bustle of Lagos (but close enough if you want to grab dinner or go to the shops). The beach was also a quick walk and not crowded at all.

We love a great meal, and the food could not be beat! Each course of the gourmet dinners was a treat for the palate. We also liked that the restaurant tries to use Portuguese ingredients where possible and the wine list is exclusively from Portugal.

The staff was very attentive and were accommodating to our every need and request.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for rest and relaxation!

Sonds corney but If you´re looking for your own personal slice of heaven then this is the place for you!
It wasn't cheap, but this hotel has a calm & friendly atmosphere with fabulous food, gorgeous rooms and amazing views from the terraces and gardens over the sea.
It was an easy walk downhill to Lagos which is a great little place for shopping & sightseeing and a 5 minute taxi ride back. Or, if you don't want to lay in the pool or jacuzzi here there's a coastal path right on the doorstep which leads you down to the large sandy beach below.
We were most impressed by the attention to detail and the little private places dotted around the garden where you can sunbathe or hide away to just chill.
We only stayed a week but it was a great way of recharging our batteries!

Great place to stay near Lagos. Far enough from the thoroughfare to relax, but close enough to get to restaurants and other activity if you want to.

Great Food. Professional, friendly service. Clean, comfortable and up--to-date accommodations.

We could only spend one night at Vivenda Miranda because in August it was fully booked! We found the place very comfortable, with a great view, very nice gardens, and surprisingly very quiet. The employees are extremely nice and helpful, although most of them don't speak Portuguese. So, if you are Portuguese, you might be shocked.
The room was nice and clean, with a cute balcony facing the sea. A drawback, we had no air conditioning, but to tell the truth, the fan was enough.
The pool is located in a small garden with old pine trees where you can seat and relax while facing the sea from this marvelous cliff. If you are planning to go to the beach you will need to do some hiking but it is highly recommended if you are somehow fit.
You also have the option of massage, chocolate therapies, and so on, but I did not try them.
