What a great place to unwind and rest from your travels or as a destination on it's own! It is the most wonderful, quaint hotel with the kindest, most helpful and friendly staff. The minute we walked through the front door we started to relax. When we arrived early by car, they shook our hands individually including our two teenage daughters. They invited us to sit down to breakfast which was still being served while they made arrangements for our rooms. They spoke English fluently along with several other languages.
From the front desk we looked through the dining room and patio area to the most georgeous view of the ocean and blue sky. The views are breathtaking! With the pool, patio, blue sky, landscaping, flowers, cliff, beach.....it's heavenly. There is still work being done to the hotel to add a full spa (currently there is a sauna and steam room, and massages are available) and they are adding more stone patio area, but this work was not a problem.
Breakfast is served in the dining room and you can choose to sit inside or out on the terrace. The breakfast buffet is extensive and they will cook eggs to order. We had booked two rooms which were completely different; I think all their rooms are unique but charming. This is not your cookie cutter resort but a wonderful place with character and personal attention.
The path down to the beach is easy with shoes, harder with sandals as it's not paved and becomes steep. The beach (open to the public) was never crowded and has a little cafe for refreshments.
The front desk made arrangements for us to take a sailboat grotto tour with Bom Dia which is a company based in the harbor. It was great fun on a windy day! After dinner in town we returned to find that a kind desk staff member (sorry I don't remember her name) had made a copy of a map and drawn out different options of traveling to our next destination. GREAT service! Every employee we met was just as kind. Thank you Vivenda Miranda, we hope to be back!
