This was our second visit to this restaurant, having been there and thoroughly enjoyed it a couple of years ago. The service was friendly and attentive, without being overbearing. The couvert was a bit different from the norm, with pickled jalapeños, pickled onions, garlic butter, cheese spread and the usual olives, they asked if we wanted it with garlic bread, which we did and were pleasantly surprised to find it was more like a garlic pizza base, very nice. They also bought us some very tasty complimentary bruschetta.
Two of us had pizza, freshly home made on a traditional thin base, absolutely delicious - I can recommended the Tricolore with spinach, mushrooms and salami - the other one had lasagne which was a very very large portion and equally delicious, by all accounts.
There was a choice of house wines, either Portuguese or Italian, we chose the latter and were quite satisfied with it.
The menu is very extensive, though I have to say that other than pizza and pasta, it was very expensive, and two bicas set us back €3!
But overall I can't recommend this place highly enough, and I am somewhat baffled by the few negative reviews on here, but I guess you can only speak as you find, and we find it excellent!
