“Good value, near Faro airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014

Chose this place on two occasions to be near to airport for next day. Both visits very satisfactory, rooms spacious and clean, room overlooking road to airport was triple glazed, no problems with traffic noise etc. The attached Frangaria was great, good service good food.
All staff very helpful and friendly.

This 3 star hotel is of the highest quality. Staff could not be more welcoming giving us good advice about public transport. It only costs 2€ to get to airport.
Free tea, coffee etc which may not sound unusual but the coffee is from a proper coffee machine.
Soooooo clean, great comfy bed, plenty of choice on TV.
Restaurant next door is cheap but of you ask for chips do so without salt and add your own. Trust me you will thank me.

We arrived in Faro on a late flight so wanted to stay one night in Faro before setting off in our hire car for a week in Spain the next morning. We picked up the hire car and the hotel was just a couple of minutes away. The hotel is not especially characterful, but rooms are large & clean with good blackout blinds, air conditioning, full bath with shower and large firm beds. The receptionist on check-in was very friendly and offered to help us with our luggage. We arrived about 9pm and were hungry so went to the restaurant adjoining the hotel, which was buzzing with locals. The menu was simple, but good value. We had a whole chicken, chips, salad and a couple of bottles of water and carafes of vinho verde for about EURO 20. Buffet breakfast was also pretty good.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are probably quieter. There was quite a lot of road noise in our roo...

Hotel with large rooms and very clean. Great service, explained in detail how to get to the city and gave a map, also organized very early breakfast as we should leave from the hotel to the airport at 6am. And delicious breakfast , big choice.

We were looking for a one night stay after arriving at Faro late in the evening and not wanting to drive far. Apart from the fact we got a bit lost finding the slip road, this hotel suited our needs very well. There was plenty of parking. The room on the second floor was big and quiet enough to have the window open over night. It didn't look anything like the photos and the furniture can best be described as 'quirky' - a bit tired and a bit retro. Everywhere was clean, the bed was reasonable, linen was good quality and the bathroom spacious though no toiletries supplied. We weren't troubled by noise from corridors overnight - but that may have been because we were at the back and end of the corridor. Although we were very late the hotel staff were helpful and check in quick - and everyone we met offered to help carry bags up the stairs. The stairs are steep so suggest if luggage an issue people request a first floor room. Breakfast was good and unhurried.

Room Tip: If you have got lots of luggage ask for a first floor room

Pros; Near airport, nice big rooms and bathrooms, free wi-fi, reasonable breakfast, nice staff.

cons; traffic noise from busy road, no elevator

Stayed here on business for many nights and found it fine, only main problem was the stairs, carrying a 25kg suitcase and 20kg of tools and didnt get offered any help. Breakfast is a standard continental with a little hot food, but freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh fruits, breads and pastries were good.

Staying in the hotel for one night to change our flights in Faro, we found hotel to be very closed to airport (taxi 10 EUR) and to be a great value for money. Rooms are spacious, clean, well equiped. Stuff is very nice and helpfull. Free breakfest is fresh and good. Our only dissapointment was the noise in the hotel, if people next door speak a bit loudly, you can hear them, once somebody slam the door, whole hotel knows it, so the noise may be the issue - all depending about other guests..
