“Nice pool - bad A/C”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for one night since we had an early flight from Faro airport the next morning and wanted to be close to the airport and liked the idea of spending the afternoon by the pool.

The pool area is nice. The rest of the hotel is a bit worn, rooms are ok, a bit smallish. Beware of faulty AC in several of the rooms which don't cool the room down, we woke up in the middle of the night drained in sweat - it was hotter inside the room than outside.

The hotel is a 10 Euro taxi ride from the city centre so it can probably better value in staying closer to where restaurants and cafès are.

If I come back to Faro I will choose a different hotel.

Stayed at this hotel for 1 night only but great service from the front desk, could answer my questions or found out what I wanted, recommended local restaurants and places to go - helped out with printing of boarding passes and just overall great experience!

This was a great stay for us since we were in Faro for just 2 nights. It was a 10 euro taxi to the beach and 2.50 euro bus ride back from faro beach.
There is a lovely shopping mall a 15 min walk from the hotel where we ate and watched a movie at the cinema. It was easy and we had no problems.

Just a 7 - 8€ taxi ride from the airport and a great place to stay whether on business, or as we did, a week on the Algave much cheaper than hiring a villa or even an apartment.
Excellent value, superb "all you can eat" breakfast for only 6€ - can't really think of a negative comment?

Good location - a half hour walk from the airport along a pleasant leafy lane. Alternatively get the bus from airport, 10 mins, cost 1.75, easy to spot hotel from road so you know where to get off. 20 min walk into centre of Faro again along a flat, quiet almost traffic free lane beside the railway (Someone below mentioned walking on the main road - this is not necessary at all - we never saw a main road during the whole stay - ask the hotel staff maybe?)
Stayed for 4 nights. Lovely pool with sun and shade, (perfect for spending the last morning before a nice walk to the airport) hotel clean and comfy, quiet, good shower. Small room but for the price fine. Beds comfy. Meals not that exciting but breakfast had a good selection. Prices for drinks/food not too bad.
10 min walk to nearby village of Montenegro has cheap cafes and a supermarket. evening meal options more limited but there are some. Faro itself has many cheap and good quality local style restaurants serving delicious fresh fish. Also you can hire kayaks and bikes there to explore the marshes - loads of birds and it's beautiful. Lots of English spoken although not overrun by English tourists. If you are fairly active and like exploring a bit this place is ideal. If you are the type that likes to roll out of bed onto the beach and wants to eat a full english breakfast when on hol, it's probably not for you...

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the front of the hotel - the back ones are noisier due to traffic

Just about right for getting to and from Faro Airport, no frills low cost, clean, fits the bill, but wouldn't want to stay more than one night at a time. I wouldn't bother paying for breakfast next time.

Good overnight stop for airport. Faro centre a good walk but accessible.
Parking spaces were plentiful and easily accessed. Free internet in foyer was useful. Staff were pleasant and courteous and bilingual. Room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.
