This place was right around the corner from our hotel. Our server was very welcoming. When I said I was vegetarian, she immediately recommended what I should have--a tasty carrot soup, a cheese and yummy cilantro rice. Unlike most places we visited, this restaurant had more food for me than I could finish. And when my husband wasn't sure about which fish he wanted, she brought a platter with each out of the kitchen so he could choose directly. It was pretty crowded--we were within a foot of the table next to us--but as they were speaking Portuguese, our conversations didn't really interfere. Pricewise, we got better food for less money than in some of the tourist trap places we visited.
