“Fantastic Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2012

Ate here twice and on both occasions not disappointed. The soups are great the fish (dont normaly eat) I had halibut was like a T bone steak, the next time I had a sssh veal cutlet that also was like a T bone served with lovely fresh veg, the quality quantitiy and value are fantatic, and the staff give it a good atmospere, if you want portugese visit here. For a starter main course btle of wine coffee's brandy and whisky. 55 eouros for 2. Why can we not get it right in the UK. Just one note be prepared to wait, the food is so fresh and you can see the kitchen staff working so hard preparing it.

Very good fish, mutton chops and cataplana. A friendly service headed by António. All at very fair price.

“Another tasty meal...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012 via mobile

Established in the 1960's this is a restaurant we return to every time we visit Armacao. It can get breezy in the evening as you sit out on the street watching the promenading throngs of holiday makers! Service is good and the food is tasty. Algarve fish portugese style, pork with clams, great espetada (meat skewer) Well worth a visit

“An experience in itself with a legend of an owner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2012

Fawlty towers with good food and excellent service. Its oldest in town owned by same family for 43 years.Owner is a character who hustles you to come in, provides the laughs and ensures you get a really good service.some of the dishes are his own recipes that are so traditionally Portuguese. It's not pretty or modern ...quite the reverse but its a great night out even when the canopy fell on the diners!
