We stayed here in the week of the 12th June, found the hotel quite easily (ps avoid booking a car with Alamo, it takes ages to collect and drop off at their compound adjacent to the airport terminal) checked in and found that we had been given a non sea view room with a broken air conditioner, not a good start!
Went back to reception, they confirmed with the 'engineer' that is was broken. I then mentioned requesting a sea view room on our booking, the receptionist then got us a room twice the size of our original with a partial sea view and a large balcony. Motto: Ask or you don't get!
The hotel and rooms were all very clean, breakfast was quite good but don’t expect fresh orange juice, only watered down squash, unless you want to pay 2 Euro for a glass of fresh!! The country is awash in oranges why do they do this!
The resort is full of high-rise apartments, but once you start looking in between and under them (ground floors), you will find lots of snack bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. Most of the restaurants are aimed at the locals, as this resort is predominately for the locals, the beach is good, but the high rises make the front look a bit intimidating.
Nevertheless, for a nice quiet and relaxing place to stay with a good beach and decent food, then this is the place. We are looking at returning in September.
