Second time at this hotel (first came 2 years ago), and will almost certainly return. Quiet, spacious, plenty of grassy areas around the largish pool and enough sunbeds and parasols to go round.

Lovely terrace for breakfasts and dinners. You can take your time, watching the moon rise over the sea. Friendly and hhelpful staff - a lot of whom had ben there many years (usually a good sign in my opinion).

Resort not the best in the Algarve, but we hired a car for a week of our stay, so we could explore further afield.

We asked for a fridge and one was supplied almost immediately.

Ideal for a relaxing holiday to recharge the batteries.

This is one of the friendliest hotels I have ever stayed in. Small, comfortable, quiet, welcoming, and the first hotel I have visited where you can get two sunbeds with a parasol at any time of day. I was reluctant to say this as I don't want it to become even more popular.

The staff are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is sited well, overlooking the beach with good sea views. The entertainment is unassuming, and the hotel is perfect for middle-aged couples whose children have flown the nest and who need a relaxing break. We met some very nice like-minded people there. The food is reasonably varied, always fresh, and there is plenty of it. Breakfast could possibly have a little more variety.

Armacao de Pera is probably the least interesting or attractive resort I have visited, but as we went for some R & R we certainly got what we wanted. The weather was perfect (too hot at 34 degrees on a couple of days!)

All in all, a little gem.

The hotel was just what we needed for a quiet break. The rooms were clean and spacious and a fridge was available free of charge from reception. The balcony looked over fountains and the ocean giving an idyllic view and only a short walk down some steps led to the beautiful beach of Amacao de Pera. The pool was also great and ideal to go for a swim or just to relax on the sun loungers. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful (so its easy to get by if you dont know a word of portuguese). With pool, darts, mini golf and table tennis it was easy to stay entertained. So this hotel is without fault and we had a great stay. It is not perfect for someone wanting and action packed holiday although there are plenty of water parks and activities nearby, however, it is a perfect place to relax and unwind and is throuroughly enjoyable.

Stayed here with my 2 children (12 and 8) having previously stayed at Hotel Garbe. It's small, friendly and clean. Our room was ready with an extra bed when we arrived and the staff were helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was average buffet style but the restaurant was clean and efficient with the added attraction of an open air balcony with stunning Atlantic views. We didn't eat in the hotel at night so can't comment on that. Rooms cleaned well each day. Pool was slightly too cold to swim in (we did at the Garbe last year) but nearby beaches more than made up for this. Benagil Beach is a little gem. Armacao is becoming a bit of a concrete jungle but you can still find small, friendly, good quality restaurants and the fish is fantastic if you pick the right place. Ask for a room near the pool if that is important to you as we had a bit of a trek to get to it. Would go back.
