Have just got back from a 4 night stay at the Adriana.

Generally the hotel is well presented and is excellent for those wanting to relax or are with young families.

I was disappointed with standard of the room. Very badly designed and not well maintained. I have had better rooms in a 2 star hotel in Spain.

The food was generally very good quality and of the standard I would expect for 4 star buffet style.

We went all inclusive. The drinks were the usual local brands which were drinkable if not amazing. The house red port wine was the nicest I found.

The entertainment ranged from Portugal's answer to Ricky Martin, to a parrot show, to magic act and cabaret ensemble night. The Brazilian dancers were very good and brought a festival atmosphere to the night.

The layout of the pool, plaza and bar area is ideal for families as parents can relax and keep an eye on the kids while they play.

There is easy access to the beautiful beach which is just over the cliff from the hotel.

Be prepared though that with a pushchair or buggy you will have problems getting in and out of your room and getting to the beach.

The Adriana Beach Club & resort is roughly 25 mins drive from the airport, a taxi will cost you around €40-44 if you have no transfers included in your holiday. I spend 3 nights at the Adriana for a short break, the resort is beautiful. It is set on private grounds, approx 15-20 mins from Albufiera town centre & there is a hotel shuttle that will take you there & back for free. A taxi will cost €13 as the last bus home is only at 8pm! The rooms are self contained mini appartments which are very clean but very basic, for me this was a slight dissapointment but everything else made up for it. It's like a small holiday village, lots of greenery, palm trees, fig trees & pretty flowers. It is also spotless & extrememly well maintained. There are many activities to take part in, evening entertainment, a bar, good vareity of food, great coffee, indoor & outdoor pools, tennis courts, voley ball courts, access to local golf course, but the very best feature of this stay by far is the beach, absolutely amazing! A stretch of clean soft sand, clear waters, lots of umberellas & sund beds although I didn't bother with either! It's like a secret haven. There is a long winding path from the resort grounds which leads you to a top of a cliff you are then faced with many wooden steps but the view & location is totally worth it. (Note: there is no beach view from the resort) I would visit again just to lay on that beach & relax which was the complete pupose of my short trip. Altough there are many families it is still a pleasant environment to be in as there is ample space to get away from it all, even a massage parlour! (at a small extra cost) I would definately visit the Adriana again. The only real negative was the staff were not that helpful due to minimal English language ability so ask them for map of the resort & go exploring, this is the only way you will find out what's out there! You soon get your bearings & there is also a mini leaflet in the room with some details (but not much!)

I stayed there 5 nigths and it was wonderfull.Good amenities,good food.I just didn't like the staff,not very helpfull.I certainly recomend this hotel for those who want relax.
