The hotel is about as far from the resort centre as you will get. Taxi is about 20euro return trip and the hotel courtesy bus last run from Albufiera is at 8 pm. After that you are on your own. And by the way if it's a cloudy day make sure you get to the front of the courtesy bus queue going into town because when the bus is full you will need to get a taxi ,the hotel won't put on another bus for the extra people.
Rooms were a big disappointment for a 4 star. Cleanliness was not impressive.Bathroom fans ,TV and cupboard doors were broken and the room had ants. Some of the reception staff were very unhelpful and were immediately on the defensive no matter what you asked them or in what manner.
Food was average. The restaurant was overwhelmed by weekend guests and the staff wasn't there to cope resulting in dirty dishes piled everywhere , no table service , broken drinks machines etc. The restaurant staff tried to cope their best though and were couteous.
The hotel animation team seemed to not exist. There were no organised activities that I saw. Evening entertainment wasn't bad but only lasted an hour.
However the hotel grounds were very nice and very well kept including pool and bar areas. The beach was excellent and only about 5 min walk but not for someone with walking diffs as there are about 100 steps down the cliffs to get to it.
Airport transfer is about 40 min. If you are thinking about taking any bus trips though the hotel is the first on the route for pickup and the last for dropoff so be prepared for a tour of all the other hotels which could take about 90 min
Would I go back - NO ,not even for the beach!
