“Quiet Peaceful Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2015

Stayed here in July 2013 with my husband and then 3 and 8 year old daughters. Apartments were really big modern and clean, Balcony was great for sitting out and eating with nice views across the area. The Staff were very friendly and helpful but the WIFI was very expensive and only availble in the lobby areas

Airport transfer by taxi direct was about 40 Euros and a taxi to Villamora was about 20 Euros

No real entertainment in the day or the evening but the kids pool around the side is a great place for them to play.

Small square 5 minute stroll away with about 7 bars and restaurants, Chinese, an Italian and a few Portuguese bistros and bars and a supermarket.

Beach is a little bit of a hike and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues as there are a lot of wooden steps but once down there it is lovely and clean with a bar area to buy drinks snacks etc.

Room Tip: The water toy sellers at the beach are cheaper than in the local shops

Stayed in July and September 2014.Private apartment rented in the hotel. Very clean, spacious and large balcony. Dutch all inclusive hotel so could not buy drinks or food if you were not an all inclusive guest. Close to bars, restaurants and shops so was not a problem. Pool area very busy and towels were left on beds the night before. Beach a short distance away. Taxi or bus ride away from Albuferia town and Villamoura. Lovely quiet area.

We stayed at this resort with 2 kids under 2 and had a great stay.
The room is actually a small apartment with a living area, kitchen (with a fridge & an electric hob) bathroom (with bath) and a bedroom. The hotel provided 2 travel cots which was great (no dragging with cots while traveling) but the state they were in was not so great. We combined the bedding from both cots in to 1 comfy cot and let the youngest kid sleep in our bed. It worked, but was not really the way it should have been. The room is been cleaned daily as is the towel renewal. The pools are good. 1 kids pool with toys and a small slide and on the other side of the hotel a big pool and a kids pool without any "entertainment" but that pool had more sun hours and was therefor hotter and a good late afternoon alternative. The restaurant was good, the food was nice. No huge buffets, but a diverse choice of good food.
And the restaurant offered an inside and outside seating area and plenty of highchairs. The staff was very polite, helpful and kind to the kids. The hotel also offered nightly entertainment such as a bird show and a kids disco. The hotel area is kind of boring, a small supermarket and some tourist shops are at walking distance, as is the beach. But the hike to the beach is a up hill, down hill and high steps challenge, so the pool might be a better bet. If you have a car however, everything is within easy reach, such as the city of Albufeira and Algarve Shopping. We will definitely return to this resort.

Its is a very quiet area it requires transport or a lot of money on taxis. this hotel is all inclusive so for self catering you cannot buy drink or food as there are no tills. a taxi to the old town is 12 euros. If you want very very quiet this is the place for you

We went on our first holiday together as a family with our then 5 year old daughter in August/September 2009. The apartment was fantastic with self catering facilities although we went half board. The hotel is situated not too far from Falesia Beach although tricky to get down to the beach as its quite rocky and with steps. The apartment is very well laid out (basically a studio) with double bed and a sofa bed which was perfect for our daughter. Theres a TV, the kitchenette had all the facilities you need expect from a kitchenette, but at a really standard. The bathroom/toilet, impeccable with its very own bidet which was an added bonus should you require it.

The large balcony/terrace of our apartment led straight on to the pool; a bonus after a swim and perfect in the evenings as its also near the restaurant and the nights entertainment so we could literally sit on the terrace, watch and or join everything going on. (Kareoke was a great laugh). There was a huge variety of breakfast dishes but try to get there early as breakfast seems to be very popular. Dinner was also very good with a selection of buffet which for us was fine.

The local area is quiet with a few restaurants, bars, supermarkets. Would recommend the Chinese restaurant, and the portuguese restaurant/bar just before the Chinese. The English Bar is great too for the evening, serving a variety of local, continental and English dishes. The only low point for us was the flies; which is understandable I suppose due to the area being so close to the sea and sardines being a preferred culinary delight. Take time to walk around the local area of Algarve and you'll discover some fantastic surprises. My favourite of which was the Robin Reliant from only fools and horses.

First Choice holidays did a fantastic job with this holiday. The kids club was a definite God send.

We stayed a week at Stella Maris and had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay again.

I was there recently with my wife and 2 sons. Great food, free drinks (even after 23-00), nice swimming pool and fantastic, pretty clean beach. We have taken also one day tour to Seville. One problem is Internet: not available in the rooms.

Stayed here with partner and young son.

I am very picky about cleanliness but this hotel was spotless!!! Very modern and ideal for what we wanted.

Little boy loved the pool with little slide and the play area.

It was quiet and the beach unspoilt.

Best place to eat was the pizza place and Chinese in the square and by far the best service.

Absolutely brilliant holiday would love to go back only thing that would make it much better would be hiring a car!!!!

Also recommend yellow fish!!!! Airport transfer was spot on and a complimentary bottle of wine perfect for the first night when all the shops were shut!!!
