Have just returned from a week at the Forte Da Oura and found it an excellent hotel. Had a room overlooking the pool and a sea view and was impressed with the cleanliness of the room they cleaned every day. Didnt spend much time around the pool mainly for an hour when we returned from the beach but the pool was OK and always managed to find sunbeds late in the afternoon. The walk to the beach was downhill but could be taxing on the old legs on the way back but it was worth it, but wouldnt recommend it for senior citizens with walking disabilities. We turned to the left when we got to the beach and walked as far as we could to the end of the beach, took about 8 minutes, but this end of the beach was practically deserted and we found some nice bathing spots amongst the rocks the weather was beautiful every day we were there. When the tide came in the waves were quite strong so beware with small children if you go to this end of the beach. We ate at the hotel 3 times and each time the food was excellent, they did put on entertainment every night but there is so much more to do that we didnt see any of them. Would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone who wants a nice relaxing holiday. Bus stop is right outside the hotel and is well worth visiting the old town we did a few times also visited the strip a couple of times but wasnt really our scene..
