we stayed from June 5th until June 12th and we had a fanastic time at the holiday village. this was our first experience of a holiday village and would recommend to anyone with a young family. The staff were great and upbeat all the time, (the evening entertainment will get mind-numbing as your stay goes on and is a little on the loud side but the kids love it) both hotel and first choice staff, the hotel was clean (we were worried to read before we went about a bug going round but we didn’t experience this or anyone else we spoke to) most of the time we saw a members of staff cleaning at some point around the hotel. The pools were good and enjoyable but too cold for kids, my kids needed breaks to warm up and had to dry off wet clothes or bring spares. A bar next to each pool which offered food and drink which was handy, food wasn’t as good in these bars as the restaurants but edible. We stayed in block 2 which was nice and quiet, glad we stayed in this building, as you might read there is a bit of a hill to walk to get to Colina 1 but nothing major to worry about (steps and ramp). The food was good in the main restaurant and good selection of food every night. We only went to the Italian restaurant and the food was great and service was good. The down side to hotel is the Location, 15 min walk to the beach which we wasn’t told about in the welcome meeting and had to ask the hotel staff, the welcome meeting its self was just excursion related and didn’t give info about the area or the hotel as such. We were told the hotel had a deal with the local taxis and the cost would be 5euro into town but worked out closer to 10 euro one way and we seemed to take a different route each time. The kids will enjoy the kids club and the activities onsite especially the chocolate party! Overall the holiday was good and would consider going back but will definitely go to another holiday village.
