“Felt like family!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights in April 2013. The only complaint was the lack of an elevator. That said, the staff were beyond friendly and I felt like part of the family by the time we left. The room was clean and modern, albeit small. Our balcony provided a bit of a view of the water and the bathroom had better water pressure than any shower I've seen in Europe! The breakfast was included and was as good or better than most continental breakfasts. The location is great, just a short walk to the strip, the beach, or to shopping. Also on a bus route so you can venture a bit further if you like. We didn't use the pool due to our proximity to the ocean, but it looked clean and well maintained. Many restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance, but there is also a bar/lounge in the lobby with exceptional prices. Being the low season, there was not much for noise, but I suspect that rooms on the back would be quieter during the summer when Albufeira is a lot busier. Again, can not say enough good things about the staff. They made the visit wonderful and are the single biggest reason I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front, while having a view, also look out onto the street, which can get quite busy wit...

If you are going to bring big or heavy bags, be prepared to haul them up the stairs. The rooms are sparse but adequate and the bathroom was very clean and modern. Good shower. Location is ok and parking is easy and right out front. Our room had a balcony which was appreciated and pleasant. The nearby restaurant that was recommended by the management, the Three Palms, was truly outstanding and highly recommended. A fair ways to the beach but we weren't there for that so not an issue for us.

We stayed here in November so it was very quiet in the area and not many people in the hotel. saying that the staff were helpful when needed and the hotel was immaculate. Pool area was nice but we did not use it due to being out and about.

The location of the hotel is excellent - you can walk to the strip and beach and also get down to the town area in the opposite direction so right in the middle of everything. it's on a road but a quiet road so it wasn't too bad at night.

We chose to stay in the bungalow which was a stand alone room with a beautiful bathroom and fab shower. It had its own entrance also which was a nice touch and a little seating area outside. As it was off peak this was very reasonable.

There were two negatives:

The Internet was terrible and considering this is a small hotel that's a bit of a pain, it couldnt be that hard to get right. We were also the only ones using it I guess so it should have been efficient.

The bed was probably the worst bed me and my boyfriend hav ever slept in. Ever. We were in agony after a couple of days. I hate when people complain about small things that shouldn't be mentioned but I have never had trouble sleeping anywhere! So I was shocked when we both agreed on this. It's a shame as its a great hotel with a nice modern decor but I would strongly recommend they sort the beds out.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for the bungalow

Very new hotel, just a couple of years old (at max 4 years).
Just by it's location this one is hard to beat. Just in the middle of everything.
Tourist Train (zone 2) en busses (blue and green lines) are within 2-3 minutes walk.
Prices versus quality is very good (and way above of what i was expecting). Also this is a very clean hotel (stayed in the bungalow (302) for 5 days).
Very, very friendly staff delivered everything to the letter and dot of what they are promosing. Didn't feel for just one moment that i was just a number.
Needed 2 keys for the same room (302), no problem). Needed transportation towards the Areoporto no problem (just a little bit pricey but it was spotless on time).
A big salute to the people who are running this hotel.

One minor, and that's just a small one, the WIFI signal is a little bit weak and only at the lobby or at level 1 (hanging above the lobby), but in the lobby there are comfortable chairs as well.
Thanks for the whisky cola's
-----
Will i return here.(at some day) ?.... no doubt.

A priori, loved the small but tailored breakfast location if you look up at the ceiling (I was sort of guessing of what's needs to be done to create one for myself (for my own personal living)

Didn't test the swimmingpool.... too cold.

Room Tip: If you need a clean but a very perfectly situated hotel with combined logistic transfers and a quiet...

Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 5 nights over the easter break. The people were great and the hotel facilities were also nice. The hotel is newly built so very modern with a good bathrooms and shower. The hotel is also in a great location between the old town and the new town with a taxi rank about 5 minutes walk away towards the strip on the new town. Donaldos restaurant and wild and co are also a 7/8 minute walk up towards the new town and are very good restaurants with a great dining experience. You can't get much more for a three star hotel and I will be recommending this hotel to everyone who wishes to travel to Portugal and stay in Alberfeira Brilliant family run hotel and I even got to watch the football in the dining area (thanks love)

Room Tip: All rooms are good

We wished we had stayed elsewhere! On the plus side, the location is very good (a few minutes to the Strip and about 10-15 minutes to the old town) and the reception/bar area is very modern and clean.

The rooms are furnished in a "funky" fashion (and the bathroom was nice) but overall the room felt cheap and nasty. The bed was like sleeping on lumpy concrete. I've slept in many hotel beds over the years, both hard, soft, small and huge, but this was definitely the worst bed ever. To be fair the price was very cheap, but it just wasn't worth the discomfort.
