“Not bad at all”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

Just got back from staying here. We were a group of girls staying in a one bed apartment. The apartment itself was great, one bedroom with twin beds then a further 2 beds in the lounge, plus a bathroom and kitchen, a large hallway and a balcony overlooking the pool.

Rooms were clean and nicely done out, can't really fault them. Beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Pool area very nice although it looks a lot bigger than it is on the pictures. Also don't know why they bother having posters of 'rules' when they don't try and make people stick to them (i.e. no reserving of sun loungers when at least half were saved and not used on a daily basis which was quite annoying).

The bar was nice, we ate there a couple of times but there are some nice cafes just up the road which are cheaper and have a bigger variety.

The staff are really friendly, on more than one occasion we asked for their advice on where to go and how to get places and they were so detailed in trying to help us, was very nice that we weren't just fobbed off which happens in a lot of places. There's also a lot of brochures and maps in reception which was helpful. We booked a boat trip with help from reception which was very easy and was a great day out.

There was entertainment nearly every night, we didn't go down to any but could see them from our apartment as we were getting ready to go out and it looked okay.

One down point is that the wifi only works in the bar and reception area so was a bit of a pain that you had to go there to use it, it would have been nice to be able to use it in the room.

10 minute walk away from the main 'new town' strip, and a quick taxi ride to old town (our favourite) which cost us between 7 and 9 euros. The hotel will ring a taxi for you for 50 cents which we did a couple of times and once we walked to the taxi rank about 5 minutes away and just had to wait 10 minutes for one to come. The taxis wont give you a time of how long they will be when you ring one, you just have to wait. You also cannot pre-order which was slightly annoying but we didn't had to wait too long for one.

We walked back from the old town one night I can't remember how long it took us but it wasn't a bad walk really. There's also a little road train thing which goes between the two for 2.50 each way, we got that a couple of times which was quite fun!

Overall I'd definitely recommend this place, great location and friendly staff at great value.

Room Tip: Pool view is nice and fairly quiet at night

Just spent 9 nights at the Natura with my wife and on the whole had a great time and would recommend the Natura as it is very well located, has all the facilities you need and the staff were very helpful. In summary we would stay here again. That said we had some odd experiences which I will share just for awareness -
> On arrival we were told by Bruno on reception that there was a problem with our studio room (103) due to some issue with the pipes and that we had been allocated an alternative for two nights whilst the problem was fixed. On the face of it, no problem and Bruno told us that we has been given 25 euro credit at the bar by way of apology. We were shown to room 127 a 1 bed apt.
> Room 127 was on first impressiosn fine but on closer look there was lots of damp on the lounge wall and on the bathroom ceiling, also the bathroom sink tap appeared slightly faulty as it would not completely switch off/
> On the second day the bar staff told me that we has a further 25 euro bar credit.:)
> Returning in the early hours of our second night at room 127 we encountered a flooded bathroom, the sink tap was spewing water out. To be fair the night receptinist reacted quickly and came and switched the water off to the room. If we had not been moving the following day it woud have been very concerning.
> At the time of our flood I asked the night receptionist to confirm that we were moving to room 103 the following day, he could not confirm this but could confirm that the current occupants were leaving the following day!! This is when it became apparent that we had not been allocated a room for 9 nights in the first place.
> The following day I questioned Bruno on the inconsistent messaging and he was somewhat embarrased to admit that there someone in our room leaving that day and he said that he had been told there was an issue with the pipes but clearly that was not true.
> On moving into room 103, whilst the room was overall fine there were 3 things that were just annoying despite a complimentary bottle of red and an apology note -
1) The toilet cistern was broken and needed me to manually trigger the refill after each flush - reported to reception but no action taken.
2) No hot water on the first two nights, I managed to figure this out as someone had unplugged the electric boiler in the room.
3) An overflow pipe from the room above was dripping constantly onto our balcony and we needed to place a bucket under it which I had to empty twice a day. This is just a simple design issue with a number of the rooms, why have an overflow pipe that has outlet onto the balcony below?
I guess we were just unlucky with our rooms as I didnt hear any other guests with issues or complaints.
Some tips -
> The food 200 yards away at any number of venues is cheaper that at the Natura bar area.
> If going to the old town perhaps get a taxi to pick you up from the Natura, we had to wait at the nearest taxi rank for 30 mins (and for almost an hour in the old town when wanting to return!)
> Try a meal at the Dutch restaurant Carpe Diem - fantastic,

Dear Guests,
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our hotel, your comments are very valuable to us.
We are also, deeply sorry for all the inconvenience caused during your holiday, you are right about your complaints and we are very sorry we weren't able to further assist you during your stay.
We have however taken care of most of the issues you mentioned, the A/C overflow pipes will have to be delt with during winter closing time and by next season this won't be a problem anymore.
We do hope you consider coming back to the Algarve despite the problems you encountered.
Respectfully,
Frederico Ferreira

Went with husband and 8 month old baby, very reasonably priced holiday so didn't expect much from resort. Pleasantly surprised, the staff were really friendly and very helpful in some areas went above and beyond. The room was incredibly spacious big hallway to leave the buggy up, large kitchen for an apartment and very well equipped. Location was excellent, not far from the main strip of restaurants and a stones through from a reasonable supermarket. Also not far from the beach but we only went one day because the resort had a nice friendly atmosphere. Room was dated and did need a refurb, beds were a bit on the hard side. However our room was exceptionally clean which was most important to us with having the baby and the maid service were really lovely. A few times the baby was sleeping so they came back to the room an hour later on a few occasions rather then just not clean it those days. Lots of sunbeds, resort itself was spacious and very clean. The air conditioning was fantastic especially considering the size of the room. No complaints at all, even though room was dated the holiday was value for money.

This was our third stay at Natura and it never disappoints.I have stayed with my Mam and 2 kids and this time my partner came and he was just as impressed as we were with the place. There is a lovely relaxed feeling around the pool area and plenty of space so there is never that clostrophobic feeling you can get in places there are plenty of sun loungers and all nicely spaced out.The staff are extremely helpful we had a leaky tap(no big deal) but they got someone to fix it straight away.everything you need in the apt and washing machine is a great plus.best nearby restaurants by far are Neto and invictus and lovely beach a short walk away .Old town €5 in taxi and kids lo ed puppet show in the main square at night .Fred the manager really cares about his visitors stay and is a gent and Telma is also very helpful.5 star service and great value.Jenny and family Dublin

We have just stayed here for a week. The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean and was straight on the pool side. Lots of sunbeds. Room was cleaned every day with clean towels. Surprised that our studio had a washing machine. Great restaurants and bars nearby. Only a ten minute walk to the strip, which we enjoyed, it had a great atmosphere. Went to the old town by taxi which was only 5 euros also a very lovely place. Would have no hesitation in returning and would highly recommend the Natura.
It was always quiet at night in the hotel.

Whilst the Natura has a number of plus points in its favour, certain negatives detract from the overall aura of the place. We recently spent a week at the Natura, arriving late in the evening. There is no lift so, unless you choose a ground floor apartment, it is unsuitable for anyone with an infirmity. Also, after midnight, the front door is locked and guests have to walk right round the complex even if they're staying near the entrance. Surely the employment of night staff would remove this obstacle.
The pool area is excellent, and there are sufficient sunbeds without the need for "early morning towel droppers". The grounds are well maintained and easy on the eye. The female bar/restaurant staff are very friendly, affable and efficient, though bar prices could be a little more competitive. The reception staff were helpful, particularly Bruno who is very pleasant & cheerful. The bathroom wall & bath itself were dirty when we arrived in our apartment, but this was immediately rectified when reported to the reception staff.
The english breakfast was fine, if a little more expensive than other establishments close by.
The air conditioning in our apartment was first class, and kept the place nice and cool.
Unfortunately, the apartment itself and the surrounding areas are in dire need of a revamp. The bathroom shelf was missing, as there were simply two brackets in the wall where the shelf had once been. The door handles were badly worn, and quite ancient. The kitchen was functional at best, with minimum utensils which were badly in need of replacing. The beds were rock hard, and the whole apartment had an air of tired gloom about it. The balcony, which formed part of the roof, was huge but, unfortunately, was never swept. New fittings and a good coat of paint would make a big difference to the apartment, which doesn't bear much resemblance to the advertised photographs in reality. It's a bit much to charge for safe keys too (15 euros) while most establishments now include this facility in the room price.
The Natura also seems to have its fair share of stag/hen parties and, whilst there was no problem with any of those groups during our stay, I feel that this may not always be the case.
It wasn't especially cheap to stay at the Natura so, despite its good points, I don't think I'd be rushing back to stay there in the future.

Room Tip: In the block facing the pool area.
