Been a while since I visited Auramar, so only just getting round to writing my review. Stayed there end of September/ beginning of October 2014 for a week. travelled with three friends and well all had a fab time. Yes, the hotels a little dated, and the sunbeds around the pool definitely need updating but apart form that we all had a fantastic holiday. Rooms, dated but clean, wide variety of food, maybe not to everyone's taste but we never had a bad meal. Beautiful location, beach a five minute walk away or if your feeling adventurous, walk down the cliff side. The beach is amazing, you can rent to loungers for a few euros and the restaurant there is sublime. Old towns nice too, lots of shops bar and restaurants, either catch the hotels free bus or a taxi (about 6 euros)

All in all we had a great time, nothing to complain about, lovely place, lovely staff and lovely facilities. if you want five star, pay five star!! but auramar for what you pay is well worth it. I would definitely visit again, and look forward to doing so!! :)

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end Nov/beg Dec 2014. The place is spotless and our room had maids every day. The breakfast was great, snack bar for lunch was average and the evening meal was the same. The location was great for the new town and a short walk along the beach to the Old Town and the hotel also did a shuttle bus. The entertainment was basic but it was out of season. Great place for a few days of winter sun though.

My friend and I stayed here for the weekend (28-30th Nov) all inclusive, and we had a great time!

The hotel is huge but it didn't take long to get our bearings. The staff were very helpful, checking us in quickly - we arrived before 12 noon and the room was ready for us. The room was dated (decor-wise) but the bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and it was just fine for us.

The pool is huge! And the whole outside sunbed area is really nice. The indoor pool is very small but has lots of sunbed space. There's a gym and a small shop on site.

The food was nothing fancy (you get what you pay for) but it was perfectly fine. Cooked breakfast consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. There was also cold meats, cheeses, fruit, yogurts, bread and cereals. (The usual!)

Snack bar had burgers, fish, spag bol, rice, chicken, bread rolls and salad.

Dinner was really nice - even had real wine glasses! There was Roast pork, grilled chicken, meatballs and spaghetti, chips, rice, salad and bread, among other things. We definitely didn't go hungry!!

It was the off season, and quite quiet (and we were pretty much the youngest people there), but we went for a weekend of catching up on sleep and eating & drinking! There aren't any nightclubs, rowdy drunk people or screaming kids. It was just what we wanted!

If you want something different, I suggest The Strip!

I would definitely recommend this hotel and I'd stay again.

Let's be honest here. For the price you pay, this is not a bad deal. We stayed here for 7 nights all inclusive at the end of November and whilst i may not go back to this particular hotel (only because i prefer more luxury), it was not too bad. The hotel is seriously in need of some loving and refurbishment and is old and worn in many parts. There needs to be some money thrown at it. Nevertheless, it is reasonably clean and the staff were friendly to me and my son especially the lady in the restaurant! The food whilst not a vast choice was ok. There is always something you can eat and to your heart's content. Breakfast and dinner were better than lunch. On our last night, there was paella which i have to say was amazing!
The only downside for me and my young son is the amount of smokers in the hotel. Everywhere, someone was puffing! We could hardly sit outside communally as the cigarettes were off putting and did not want us breathing that in. The weather was unpredictable but we had some good days.
Overall, the location is brilliant as you can walk from the beach (which is right next to the hotel) to both the Old town and to the strip, so it's quite central. There is also a free mini bus 3 times a day to the town as well as free wifi in the reception area only.
I have to say though, if you are over 60 and are a smoker, then this is the perfect bargain for you!

Room Tip: Get either a side sea view or sea view room preferably on at least the 3rd floor.

Had a lovely holiday at the Auramar in November. Good hotel which has a great location, right by the beach. We stayed in Block D, and our room had lovely sea and Old town views. We had a spacious room which was very clean, although it could possibly do with an update. Room cleaned
and towels changed daily.
We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis which was very good value for money ( £9 per night ). Breakfast was of a good standard, with large choice of cereals / fruit / meats & cheese / fried food available.
Grounds are well kept, the hotel has a large pool area overlooking the sea - with plenty of sunbeds and seating all around.
The hotel runs a courtesy bus service into the Old Town a few times a day, but the town can also be reached by a leisurely walk along the beach ( takes about 20 minutes ).
One thing which you may need to consider are the numerous steps which need to be negotiated to reach certain areas, eg the main bar. Although there are ramps available for wheelchair access.
Would certainly stay at this hotel again, especially for an out of season break.

Room Tip: Block D has good sea views

Stayed in November warm and friendly welcome arrived too late for dinner but they had left a packed lunch for us in our room. The staff were warm and friendly and were always ready to help. Great location just a few too many steps for us. Our only complaint was the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in our room which meant a long trek down to the pool bar. Food was great and plenty to choose from will definitely be returning soon.
