“Really enjoyed our week.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2014

We went over the Christmas period and had a great time so please note that some of the reviews are written by people that paid for 2/3* prices and expected 5*.
There was certainly enough to eat for all meal times and more than enough drink on offer. Service was good and although there was a few problems with entertainment everyone had a good time. With it being all inclusive there was always someone in the bar that was able to provide entertainment even if they didn't remember the next day.

The only thing I would say is that the beds are really hard and you get one pillow. If you like bigger pillows and have a camping blow up one you could think about bringing it.

Just in case you miss it on their site it isn't suitable if you have walking up stairs problems as you will struggle.

We went to Seville on a day trip (it's a touch colder there) and would recommend it. There's not a lot really to do in the area as it is really set up for sunbathing and being Dec it wasn't really warm enough for sunbathing but the town was down a steep but manageable hill and offered some interest. The beach was lovely.
We walked to the marina and was disappointed as a lot of the shops were closed.
Back to the food. I hope the management read this review and can post the recipe for typical portuguese pork. Couldn't believe how gorgeous it was. We have portuguese friends so it's ok not to put the recipe in english!

Worst rooms I've ever stayed in, the day we got there our friend burst into tears when she got to her room, we asked to be moved but they would only move us if we agreed not to put anything on trip advisor and we had to share an apartment, or we could pay the difference and move to an apartment each. The beds were 1970's couch blocks, pushed together to form a sort of bed. There were no windows or air con in the apartment, the doors kept falling off their hinges and it was almost impossible to shut and lock them, each time we went out I managed to lock the doors and when we got back, they were open, the cleaners would unlock them, then couldn't lock them so they just left them pushed together.
The pool area was dirty and we always had to wait to get served at the bar, even though there were not many people there, saying that, a few of the staff were very good and couldn't do enough for you. Also the food wasn't bad
Definitely would not go back there, even if they offered it for free.

We were a bit worried because of the bad reviews but it was no where near as bad we had a lovely time yes the hotel was dated but it was clean and all the staff were helpful and polite yes the food was a bit repetitive but if you did not leave it till the end of the sitting then it was plenitful and hot they even laid on a special menu for christmas eve which is when they celebrate
so dont believe everything that is written it was well worth the money

me and my friend stayed here for 4 nights in May, the weather was beautiful. The hotel was average more sunbeds needed and a good clean round the pool area would be nice, the rooms are dated but they are clean. We were at the back so we had alot of stairs to get to. it was dark when we arrived so couldnt really see where we were going, luckily we were given a map at reception. the drinks machine was broken so we couldnt get any water and all the shops were shut. The receptionist gave me a cup with water in..... not sure where it came from but had no choice but to drink it. luckily we were fine. Hotel not far from beach and main town area but it was a Taxi ride to get to "The Strip" nightlife. but theres plenty of bars in the main bit of town anyway. Staff were friendly. We stayed all inclusive the food was ok few choices but if your a fusy eater I wouldnt recommend it. We enjoyed it but wouldnt go back if we stayed for a week maybe for a long weekend. You get what you pay for.

We stayed for four nights arriving on the 23rd December. After reading the reviews was dreading it but was pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel is dated but room was clean and comfortable. On the 1st day we had a problem with the cooker as we tried to boil some water this was fixed immediately. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was excellent a good and varied selection. I would not recommend this hotel if you have mobility problems due to the vast number of steps. The hotel is a short walk from the town and uphill coming back but is a pleasant and manageable walk.

We booked a trip between Christmas and New Year 26/12/13 - 31/12/13 . We booked Self Catering so we could visit the Restaurants and Cafes. The apartment we were first shown to was awful, the toilet bowl was full and the smell was terrible. We were shown two other apartments and told them we were not happy with all the stairs. Our apartment was dull, dated and dirty. The windows were filthy, an attempt had been made to clean them but the dirt was just smeared around. The balcony was full of muck, with two disgusting sun loungers pushed in a corner and left to rot. What should have been a beautiful walkway was dangerous with un kept cobbles loose and all over the place. The very, very many cats were all over the grounds and outside dining areas, even jumping on tables. Thank goodness we were not eating there.
