Only been here a day, don't know why people are complaining, if you want 10 star then go somewhere else,
Staff have not been able to do enough for us that's down to the reception/bar/resterant and cleaning staff, full English breakfast with proper sausages and lamb on the bone for dinner and pork for tea. do not listen to the reviews of other people as in my opinion they have nothing better to do with their there time except complain x

The apartment was great, very big and very clean. Great for self catering as the restaurant food looked horrible and there was supermarkets close by to get what ever you need. The bar reminded me of butlins only went once had to pay for our drinks as we was not all inclusive they took the Smirnoff from the top shelf and poured a full glass being stopped by my sister as she didn't want to get drunk, no chance it was not Smirnoff nor very strong considering how much they put in the glass, the wine was great but we left without finishing the drinks.the bus was great taking you to the old town not far to walk to from the apartment but great to have the bus to bring you back as there is a hill to climb. Weather wasn't great when we was there but I'm sure in the summer it will be a great place to be. The portuguese people were so friendly and helpfully.

Thank you for your review,

We appreciate when guests post a review and take all to consideration.

We are sorry to see you have stated the food looked horrible, i can assure if you would had tryed the food you may have had a different opinion. The food is freshly made with a few varietys to try and satisfy all.
The drinks served in the bar are local and of good quality, the bottles are not filled with a different type of drink. The drinks served from the bottles are all original.

Kind Regards,
Natasha De Nóbrega.

Great week away in a brilliant setting the resort really is lovely and the staff were really good however some seemed to lack direction most staff would run around and couldn't do enough to help others were just idle the entrance foyer would be littered with cups glasses and rubbish yet the reception staff seemed oblivious to This and stood around chatting (is cleaning beneath them?) the bar staff worked hard being only one staff member on a bar serving waiting on and sorting food orders the apartments are stunning after arriving at midnight we couldn't believe our luck however the cleaning was basic throughout the week but adequate the food was acceptable not the best I've had but by no means the worst the salads always fresh and a reasonable choice of main meals each day the free shuttle to town was good and the driver took us to the bus station at our request I will be returning later in the year

Thank you for your review,

We appreciate when guests post a review and take all to consideration.

There are staff working in different áreas and we all have our different job roles as any other place. Reception staff including myself are on duty at Reception attending to guests and much more.
The public áreas are cleaned and checked daily.

We hope you enjoyed your stay and look forward to see you later in the year.

Spent a week with my partner half board in a one bed apartment, other family members were staying in a two bed apartment. I had emailed the place before to ask if we could have an apartment for the most senior in our party. When we arrived it was literally over the road from reception which was excellent. Both rooms were spacious and lovely. Full kitchen equipment and a lovely balcony overlooking fields. The resort itself is quite large, we never used to pools but they looked pretty inviting. Lovely gardens and pretty peaceful.

I am pleased we only went half board though. Breakfast was plentiful, evening meals had odd combinations, but you wouldn't starve. We did eat out occasionally on an evening anyway.
We did have to wear a wristband even though we weren't all inclusive, which was unusual, surely card and room number would be fine? It was busy but not too busy early in the week in the restaurant, that all changed when Friday came. A lot of Spanish guests arrived (due to a public holiday), then people were queuing to come into the restaurant itself. Too small for the size of the resort, I really felt sorry for the staff. Must be bad in summer.

The main complaint would be certain guests. We went into the Apple Bar, which had a friendly but busy barman. There was a stag party staying in the resort, and they were pretty drunk and loud and had overtaken the bar even though it was still early. One had knocked and broke a glass onto the floor and didn't even apologise to the barman. Just carried on drinking. He had to clean it up whilst trying to run the busy bar. We didn't go back again and headed to town after that. Good job we weren't all inclusive. Its a shame as there were families there, seems like a strange destination for a stag party?

We would go back but would probably either go self catering or Bed and Breakfast.

Town was lovely and we used the free shuttle bus a few times, We also did a few trips. Try to use The Ticket Shop near where the shuttle bus drops you off. A lot cheaper than the hotels trips on offer.

Room Tip: If hard of walking, near the clubhouse.

The groups that had arrived came through as seperate bookings and we were not aware there was a group, however in the summer season there are more facilities open and staff on duty at the Resort.
The bands are for all inclusive and half board, guests booked as BB do not use the bands, its much easier this way at meal times.

Kind Regards,
Natasha De Nóbrega.

We booked through Thomas Cook choosing half board in a 2 bed apartment as there were no 1 bed apartments left and for the price it was very good value for money.

There's no point harping on about the food as others have covered this in detail previously. Don't expect to pay 2 star prices and have 4 star cuisine, it's just not going to happen. If you are a fussy eater then half board is not for you. We were pleasantly surprised to find our accommodation was a villa which slept 6 people! We had 2 double bedrooms with en suites. Large kitchen with everything you need for self catering, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, full oven, microwave, toaster, kettle every pot and pan and utensils that you can think of. More than enough crockery and cutlery. Maid service every day apart from Monday and Thursday. The villa was exceptionally clean. Clean towels whenever you needed. The lounge had a dining area for 6 people. There were 2 large sofas, one being a sofa bed. Flat screen TV with some English channels - music channels were very good. Also some children's TV channels, great if the weather's not too good.

We had our own patio and grassed area with 2 large sun loungers and outdoor table and chairs. We felt spoilt rotten. The pools were literally feet away. The weather was pretty good too.

We made use of the indoor pool and sauna. We took swimming hats but others used the pool without. We paid the 25 Euro each for pool towels which is reimbursed to your account when the towels are returned at the end of the holiday. We hired the safe for 15 Euros for the week.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful and we wouldn't hesitate to book here again,

We walked to the Old Town which took around 15 minutes. There is a mini bus which can take you there which runs 4 times a day. All in all we had a fantastic week and would recommend the Eden Resort without hesitation. We hired a car from Avis which was excellent value for money and we travelled to Silves about 40 mins away to look around the castle and cathedral. We also found the Algarve Shopping Centre opposite Makro which is 8 minutes away from the Eden Resort - a Portuguese style McArthur Glen shopping outlet - so nice to see C & A again!

Your holiday is what you make it so go with an open mind and you won't be disappointed. Take flat shoes as the pavements can be cobbled/crazy paving style!

As you have already read the food is standard, but fine if staying just a few nights. The Eden Resort reminds me of the estate in Edward Sissorhand! The accommodation is excellent, there is a large kitchen complete with mod cons including dishwasher, microwave, large fridge freezer and good oven. The lounge is a good size with a full dining area that will seat 6 persons. The bedroom was spacious, with comfy beds and the linen was very clean. On the balcony was a small table and 2 chairs. We did not use the pool due to it being in February, but looked ok. The bar is very small as too is the Apple bar, which I expect gets very busy in high season (we struggled to get a seat in Feb) There was probably seating for approximately 60 people which is not a lot in high season. However, there is a seating area outside on the balcony. The receptionist was very helpful, as soon as we arrived (about 11.00am) we were given our all inclusive bands and told we could use the facilities while our accommodation was being prepared, which was appreciated.
Great for a short break, we stayed just 3 nights. We got a hire car from the airport, and it was an easy journey to the resort. The resort does offer a shuttle bus to Faro Airport if required. You need to get a taxi into the old town of Alberferia at a cost of 3 euro. It is a lovely resort and there are many supermarkets available such as Aldi and Lidl if you are going self catering. Cost wise in town the prices are reasonable, costing 7 euro for 2 beers and 2 coffees. A bottle of wine was about 3 euro 50 (Mateus) and cost about 20 euro for an evening meal. Overall a very pleasant experience which I hope we can do again.

Room Tip: I don't think you would be disappointed with any.

Stayed four nights Feb 2014. The apartments are lovely. Comfy bed, large living room, fully fitted kitchen. Large TV (but limited English channels).
We were self catering so I cannot comment on the food and I think more staff are needed. But the staff greet you with a smile and have very good English.
We hired a car so did not need to walk down to Albufeira (which would prob take me 20 mins downhill). This area of the Algarve coastline is beautiful - you must visit Sao Rafael and Castelo beaches. The latter has a small restaurant (Picnic) overlooking the beach. What a view :-)
Unfortunately we had to cut our holiday short due to a family emergency at home and the reception staff let us use the computer to print our new flight boarding passes.

Room Tip: Ground floor apartments have a garden and nice sun loungers. Ask for a room with a south facing gard...
