This restaurant is very beautifully restored. It used to be castle built in the 8th century until it was partially ruined by an earthquake in the 18th century. The restaurant is clean and the structure is certainly unique. It had multiple floors with multiple dining rooms however the real place to eat is on one of its multiple balconies. The views of the ocean and old town Albufeira are simply breathtaking and definitely worth the climb up the narrow stairs. Makes for a very romantic meal.
That being said, you will pay heavily for the gorgeous view. The food was great, but we found it to be very typical and nothing really out of the ordinary for what we paid. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for the amazing views and experience however, I would stay away from their fish/seafood menu as it can be very pricey.
