“One word... AMAZING!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2011 via mobile

My boyfriend booked 5 days here for my birthday back in February this year. At first we wasn't sure what we would think of it as we couldn't find that many photos, but in fact it turned out to be one of the nicest places I have stayed!

Location...
Location is PERFECT! When the coach pulled up outside the apartments, we were kinda laughing saying we wouldn't want to stay here and was gutted when the driver announced it was our stop! It's along one of the main roads and wasn't very 'pretty' to look at. However sating in the apartments at the back, you cannot hear the road and it's not that busy at all so please DO NOT be put off by this!

It is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the main 'strip' but at night you cannot hear any noise from the clubs or restaurants.

10 minute walk down to the beach which is lovely! I'm not a beach person and hate the sea, but even I went in the water it was nice and clean and golden sand.

15 minute to the 'Old Town' where you will find a load more restaurants and shops down little roads. We went for dinner here on valentines night and they had decorated some of the restaurants with candles and hearts - was really welcoming!

Accommodation...
We booked a studio apartment. Once again we was kind of dreading the shoe box we thought we was going to be given, but once again we was surprised! The apartment was very spacious with a decent size lounge with a sofa, table and chairs, tv, double bed and a wardrobe, a small hallway with another wardrobe, and two doors, one leading onto a very nice kitchen with cooker, oven and microwave and other essentials, and the other door, leading to yet another decent sized room where the bathroom is, with a nice bath/shower and a bidet.
Small balcony outside kitchen, only big enough for a chair or 2, but out the front you have your own space with small tale and chairs.

People...
On arrival the lady at reception was very friendly and wish me a happy birthday from the day before. Talked us through the area and made us feel very welcome! There was no hairdryer in the room and when I went down to ask where would sell one, she went and got her one for me and allowed me to use it for the week! Cleaners are very friendly and smily and came everyday and the room was always clean and tidy! Man at reception called Bruno helped us book our transfer to the airport and done it for us and as our flight coming home was late so we asked to pay extra to stay in the room till around 6pm and as they wasn't expecting anyone that evening, let us stay with no extra charge!

This holiday was such a lovely break and even though while we was there there was a few rainy days, the ret of the days were nice and warm and we was able to go to the beach most days! We loved staying here so much that we said we'd decently return (and we never normally return to the same place/country), but I have booked it as a surprise for his birthday and we will be going next week and I can't wait!..:)
Hope this helps anyone who is unsure about staying here!

had a great time at these apartments. they were clean and had everything that you needed for your holiday. the location was great 10 mins from the strip and 20 mins from the old town. the pool and surrounding area were small but ideal for our needs. we had a large bedroom, kitchen and living area although the balcony was small but big enough for 2 people. the maids did a great job and towels and bedding were very clean. the kitchen also had a large fridge freezer and a washing machine ( which we didnt use ). the reception was small as was the pool bar and on the day we arrived the recption was closed for lunch from 1 until 2. we arrived at 1.50. however it did not open until 2.20 and my husband had went to the pool bar to get the barman over to open it. we were then told that our apartment was not ready so we went away for some lunch and returned 40 mins later to find it still wasnt ready. it was getting a great clean and when we got the key we were very pleased. we were on the second floor overlooking the pool. the ground floor with patios were all studios. the first night we heard a lot of people noise out on the street as our bedroom was at the sreet end of the apartment but the rest of the week was not so noisy except for a little traffic noise. we did walk to the old town once and got the train/bus back although it does pass these apartments but only stops half way up the strip so you have to walk for 15 mins to the stop. 2.50 euros for 1 trip or 4 euros for a day ticket which we got for 1 day and made 4 trips on it. cheers bar next door was good for drinks and food and of course the free internet. loads of great restaurants on the strip, the chinese at the end and invictus on the road past the strip. would love to return to these apartments but did not like the cobbled streets which were everywere, old town and the strip. however flat non slip soled shoes would be perfect for that problem.

Stayed here for four nights in august, we found the apartment a good size for two.staff were friendly and helpful. Pool was small but perfect for chillaxing on warm days! Not fat from the strip which is lively but a bit further from the old town which is nice. I would suggest that when trying to get a taxi in the early evening you have to go to the strip to get one. Overall a lovely place quiet for sleeping at night but not far from all that's happenIng

After reading several reviews and looking at different hotels / apartments we opted for this one based on two reasons – 1) the reviews on trip advisor and 2) the facilities available at the location. We have a large family (6 kids aged between 9 -18) so taking them abroad is an expensive task so being focused on a tight budget is very important.

We booked through “On the Beach” booking just the hotel and booked the flights direct through Jet2.com (for the 10 days we wanted to go these were the best prices). We booked the transfer from the airport to Albufeira through “faroairporttransfers.com” – All 8 of us on our own private transfer, return was 86€ which we thought was very good value and saves us messing about with taxis or buses and got us straight to our apartments without any stops. The service was fantastic – waiting at the airport for us when we arrived and very pleasant and friendly, highly recommended.

The apartments at Sereia Da Oura were clean and well presented, the bathrooms are a little dated but everything is clean, tidy and towels and sheets are fresh and changed regularly. The family that run the facility are lovely, pleasant and always smiling, and any questions we had about the local area, they were always helpful and had the time for us. Bruno’s Bar is a great place to grab an ice cold beer and cheese burger while chilling out at the pool and the prices are very reasonable.

We were located at the front of the property above the Indian Restaurant and Cheers Bar and found it no problem at all, in fact our daughter loved the fact the bar had free Wi-Fi and in her room she got full signal.

The Cheers Bar was a great place Maria and Antonio are lovely people and made us feel very welcome and even though we don’t normally drink a lot we found we ended up there most nights having and laugh and the kids loved the free computer and PS3 and the darts always keep us amused. Prices are very reasonable, with a good selection of drinks and a round of shots always kept us on our toes, and it was nice to get a breakfast in there as well.

Sereia Da Oura is nicely located far enough away from the strip to avoid all the noise but only a ten min walk, to the strip or the beach (the best beach of the 3 was at the bottom of the strip, smaller and busier but less wind and slightly sheltered).

The strip is a long road that holds all the bars and shops, great for eating out and has a wide selection to choose from we can recommend the Chinese restaurant at the bottom slightly set back with the crazy but friendly Chinese man smiling and waving at the entrance. From a snack and a great tasting burger you can’t beat La Boca, it’s the closest thing to a MacDonald’s or Burger King on the strip and have the best prices (4.95€ for a meal and drink) and friendly service, if you’re not careful you can spend nearly 10 euro’s on a burger and chips if you go to the wrong place. The old town is about a 15/20 min walk and had a nice selection of restaurants and shops, and is a little less frantic than the strip.

There are a wide range of super markets around but we found the prices differed greatly depending on what you were buying and from where. The little shop below the apartments was great for water, milk and juice which saved carrying huge great water bottles in the soaring heat. For cereal, bread, etc it is a case of shopping around.

All in all it’s a great place for the price and if like us you are either at the beach or next to the pool or chilling in the bar this is a great location and ideal for families or couples.

I apologise if this is a little long but it's my first review and a feel I owe Trip Advisor a worth while review as i have used it several times and never had the time to leave a review. Thank you Trip Advisor and long my you last.. :)

Room Tip: Air con is available in the apartment for 5e per night, in the summer this is strongly advised

We stayed there last week and found the apartment to be very good value. The apartment was very clean and large enough for the four of us. The bedroom is very clean with brilliant white linen. The bathroom is pink and a bit dated. The sofabed is strong and sturdy but the fabric worn therefore they cover them with brilliant white linen. Kitchen is good sized with all facilities available. Towels are changed and rooms cleaned every day apart from weekends. The pool is decent sized, clean and my children loved using it.

The location is very good for both old town and the strip. We preferred traveling to the old town which is a twenty minutes walk or 5 euros by taxi. Marta is very friendly and helped us in booking the few excursions that we went to.

Just returned from a 10 day stay in apartments. We had a one bedroom apartment which offered plenty of space for the 2 of us.
We were on the top floor so did not pay for air conditioning, leaving the window in our bedroom at night kept the room cool, in fact it was quite breezy on occasions.
Accomodation is basic but is just what you need, the shower is not the best but works well enough.
Towels are changed every other day during the week and the sheets are changed once a week.
The apartments were very busy while we there, hen and stag party provided an influx of people.
The pool is not huge and there are not enough beds for every occupant so there was an element of beds being reserved by towels.
The snackbar is open from around 10.00am to 7.00pm and is good to get a quick sandwich, large beers always served in a chilled glass.
Marta and Bruno are very helpful and one of them is there a majority of the time.
The Cheers Bar underneath is well worth visiting for a drink, they also serve a very nicy Breakfast, the kitchen is not the biggest so be prepared to wait if it is busy.
We found plenty of places to eat within easy walking difference of the apartments, the best we found was a restaurant called Festa, turn left out of the apartments as if you are heading for The Strip and it is on your left hand side set back from the road, indoor or outdoor eating, it is closed on a Tuesday.
If you like your steaks and are prepared to pay a little bit more then Wild & Co is worth a visit, it is situated at the top of The Strip.
There are plenty of places to drink and you will always find drinks deals, even during the day.
We walked to The Old Town once and caught the tourist train back up, please note that the train only stops in 3 locations though.
Highly recommended and we will be going back.

Room Tip: If you do not like noise, 201 & 202 are not recommended
