We holidayed here for a fortnight in June, picking it because we have a seven month old baby and it had creche facilities. I didn't want to go anywhere that there wasn't a creche because our little boy is 'all go', gets bored easily and needs toys/ other people to play with and we were pretty sure he wouldn't like the heat. ( We were right - it was 34 degrees some days and he hated it! ) It was also a short flight from Dublin and short transfer from the airport.
We had our little boy in creche from 10am to Midday and from 3pm to 5pm each day. It was literally a life saver for us. We and he wouldn't have had any class of a holiday without it. His face almost lit up going into an air conditioned room full of toys. He loved the ball pool!
You can't leave the complex when your baby is in there, you must tell them where you are and they give you a mobile to call you, if there's a problem. I can't remember the price but we pre booked - ESSENTIAL - to get the times you want and it was really cheap - maybe less than 200 euro for 2 weeks?
There were always 2 girls on duty and no more than 5/6 babies; sometimes only one or 2. Zoe, Kelly, Amber and Natalie were the girls who minded the babies and toddlers and are fully qualified. They were really, really nice. They made little pictures for us, using his foot print and were very caring with him. Like creche at home, they gave you a little rundown of what his humour was like, what he did, if he slept ( they have 2 cots and 2 little bouncers that they can sleep in ) and whether or not he had dirty nappies etc. You leave a nappy, wipes and a drink with them.
I spoke to other mothers there who had problems with their children settling and crying all the time. They were, quite rightly, called by the girls to come and collect them. So be warned! If your baby or toddler doesn't settle you will have to come to collect them.
Food wise - great pizzas, TERRIBLE coffee and juice, really nice salads and fruit buffets that were attacked by fruit flies. YUCK! But there is such a big selection, you will always find something to eat.
Great sangria, wine OK, horrible cocktails. They were either gin or vodka or rum with sprite or coke and a colouredy liquid. Manky.
Not a good selection of snacks in between mealtimes. Never tried the restaurants other than the main one - they looked awful. Staff in the restaurant were really nice.
I would really recommend this place if you need creche facilities/ kids clubs - a break from them might make your holiday - it did with us!
Pools really cold but lovely breeze blowing.
All in all, we think we might go to another holiday village for our next holiday.
