“Interesting menu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Slightly more upmarket than we usually go to - very good service but it was quite empty - The deserts were home made and delicious

“Charming atmosphere, delicious food, great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012

Guiao is exactly what I envisioned restaurants in Portugal to look like but this was the only one that met my expectation! Guiao is small with so much charm and elegance! Jose was very attentive and friendly and informative. I had lamb chops and my husband had pork. Both meals were delicious, as were the tapas and wine.

“total surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2012

My wife and I stumbled upon this little gem of a local restaurant. family run and typical Portuguese food, served on fine china (vista alegre). service was excellent, ask for Jose, his grandfather owns the place and will give you a culinary tour of the region. Staff speaks English, but if you know Spanish or Portuguese, even better because the stories the old man tells are priceless.

Best overall experience in a week traveling in Portugal.

“ok but short of good”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

We found the service to be rather slow and food ok although nothing special. The interior is cosy and there are limited tables available.

“Bacalao vs porco preto”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011 via mobile

Bacalao vs porco preto: difficult to say who wins in this nice, small restaurant with Portugal touch everywhere, from azulejos covering part of the walls to old bottles displayed all around. A restaurant where u can spend a nice evening in fascinating Evora, with ultra-attentive staff service offering regional food and wines... and the bill does not leave your picket empty. Don't forget to try very tasty desserts, before you go!
