“unforgetable weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

An excellent option for an unforgetable weekend with a group of friends with kids.
The place has everything you and your kids need. Games and activities, swimming pools, SPA, bikes, good food and wine and lots and lots of space.

Very nice and professional team that were always there for us.

- the service is excelent, the employees are very nice and always have a smile in their faces
- the house (restaurant) has a wonderfull view to the vineyard
- children can play around with no problem
- breakfast is great. I suggest you go with full board because there's no restaurant near by
- is a place where we always have good weather
- nice pool but it could be a little bigger
- should invest more in the water activities
We love to stay there, our first time was in 2008 and since then we had return every year at least twice.

I'll start from the worse, the price, seems to be a bit high for the place, and for the average, but still despite the cost, it is a wonderfull place to be, childrens are amazed about the close relationship with nature, and animals. Indoor swimming pool it's great (with the disadvantes that we need to pay an extra fee). The food is also very good, while probably also a bit overpriced, but don't forget you will not find any other place in the surrounding, without travelling by car quite some time.

We had there our annual company retreat and everything went just great. The staff are super helpful and you can always count on them to sort out any last minute problem/detail.
There was plenty of food choices during all the meals.
The only least impressive part was that the swimming pool wasn't properly clean (there was some debris from the trees nearby).
Overall a super nice experience. Next year we will be there again for sure.

We stayed here with our three children in July. We were accomodated in a little villa, away from the main building, with two very spatious bedrooms and bathrooms, a living room and a kitchen, really perfect for a family of five. This place is really great for children, with lots of activities all day long, although some of them are payed. The price for the accomodation was reasonable, but I cannot say the same about food: buffet really expensive, and if you want to eat anywhere else prepare to take you car and drive for 20 minutes or so.
Beautiful landscape and really helpful and friendly staff.

The hotel is a nice value place, kids tend like it a lot because of the animal feeding, activities, etc. Breakfast and bar-lunch is ok. Dinner is overpriced, food not great. Winery is a pity: they have nice wines, but you cant actually try the wines (the waiter told me I could buy a botle and drink it in my room!), but if you are a wine fan you can visit Rocim or Esporao during your stay.

The word that resume´s the hotel: Rural!
The rooms aren´t modern or design but the confort is enough for a few days, the commom areas are good but can be small if the hotel gets full, the staff is nice and willing to help but there´s something about the hotel that makes us feel good. Children love it because they can feed the animals (they have an area with Pigs, Lamas, heeps, Ostrich, Goats, Chickens, horses, Donkeys, etc) and have a playground and lots of space to run around. The swimming pools (both indoor and outdoor) are small but ok. The minus in my opinion is the food. The hotel is quite far from the main localities so you´ll have to eat there and the prices are not nice and worst than that, the food quality is bad. We have the buffet only once and decided not to repeat... Must work on it... Overall was a nice stay, but mainly because of the happiness of our kid :)
Would reccomend for families, but if you can, take your own food!
