“good but noting special”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 11, 2013

Nice sandy beach and sea, but the sea might be quite rough (than there is a pool). The general quality of the facility and cuisine is lower than for example in Intercontinental. The sea noise might be disturbing to someone during the night. The traffic is quite heavy in some hours during the day and the trip to the airport may than take longer.

Room Tip: sea view is a must.

Ia Orana,

Thank you for the time you spent sending in your review,
We also think our black sand beach does leave an impact. However can be agitated when the rainy season is of actuality.

Sorry to read of your comment on our 4 stars facility and cuisine and have transferred this to our French chef for awareness and subsequent action.

I wish you the best from French Polynesia.

Merci/Thank you/Mauru’uru

“Ok, but wouldn't stay here again!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

20 min from Airport, and about $30USD

I have already put the following in expedia. In order to get good reviews, you really need to deliver and unfortunatly, the Radisson dropped the ball on a number of occasions. The stay started off so well, with a very warm welcome,...but they were not able to maintain the experience after the first 15min.

Negatives

- Only one Restaurant! Food at about 3 star level, and very expensive, similar prices to the 5 Star Sofitel in Moorea (Much nicer hotel)
- No F&B options after 10pm, unless room service, no late night bar
- Slow, slow service, brutally slow
- Forgot to collect our rooms service card in morning, therefore missed our room service until prompted!
- Can't swim in Ocean, rough, with strong undercurrents (Not enjoyable)
- Ugly looking ocean, with no reef, and dark sand (not hotels fault), but a must in Tahiti
- Minimal hotel activities (Free evening entertainment would be nice)
- Nothing to do if raining!
- Hot tub did not work on arrival, however, it was fixed
- Only two English channels on TV (CNN and ESPN)
- Almost zero empowerment from staff, no follow-up from Management, and poor communication between staff

Positives

- Grounds are nice and manicured! Pool is nice, when not full with screaming kids
- Free Internet everywhere, except in your room (weird). In room Internet does not even exist
- Rooms are large with nice bathroom

Room Tip: Not bother asking for a Jacuzzi Ocean View Room... not worth the additional $$$

“Bitter honeymoon thanx to raddison :(”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

Well, we went to tahiti with my wife to spend our honeymoon, but unfortunately it was not what we spect

Onces we arrived to tahiti we were transported to the hotel arround 10 pm, the queue was long and just one person was doin the check in, after and hour aprox we finally went to our room, the restaurants were closed so we order room service, not many options available and the only think that seems to be worth it was a bolognese pasta, but what we received was a dry and tasteless pasta with a bit of mince beef that looks more like left overs and this for 25 us dlls

The hotel do not ofer many activities, they had a acuagym class scheduled in the middle of the morning , and mid noon so u r not able to use the swimming pool during the class given to a few people if you dont wanna deal with the grumpy i structor, apart of that not activities

Menu its narrow just one restaurant , every day the same food, expensive and not many options to choose, staff friendly but slow and some time seems to be lost

Part of the package that we bought from our travel agent oferd was a jacuzzi ocean view room, we get it the problem was tht the window cant be opened , so no ocean view , i complained but i'v been told the hotel was full so they cant xchange our room; the hotel was completely empty

Tahiti its quite famous for honeymooners but we had a not nice time to be remembered

The hotel is careless with those things , we expected an special atention or a simple "congratulations" having clear its a world famous destination for those events but raddison is not the case

To complete our terrible honeymoon we had problems with the transport going back to the airport, thanx to misunderstandings from the staff , we'v lost our van then we'v been sent in a cab and the grumpy and indecent lady at the airport was trying to force us to pay for the cab

Not such a good experience , definitely you need to choose carefully your hotel if you are planing to visit tahiti, but for sure dont choose raddison

Ia Orana,

I am very disappointed to read that you had a distasteful experience at our Resort.
All your comments have been well noted and transferred to the concerned services for immediate action.

I am sad to read that we may be the cause of your disappointing honeymoon travel and sincerely regret this situation. Please accept my earnest apologies.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Stayed for a week in a Deluxe Ocean View Whirlpool Room. The resort was great, nice pool, the balcony off the room was private, and had stunning views of the sunset over the ocean, the rooms were tidy well laid out, nice design and the bathroom nice and spacious, the whirl pool was great, something different. The resort staff were very friendly and helpful. Some of the extras were great such as the free shuttle into Papaete. Would be happy to stay there again and recommend the resort to others.

“Room not ready at 6 p.m. no towels at pool in the morning”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

We stayed here only one night on our way to Moorea, and it was supposed to be a "treat" to ourselves after staying in hostels around Australia and NZ for 2 months. The location is not convenient to the airport or the ferry, so keep that in mind. Check in is stated as 2 p.m. but when we arrived around 5:30 p.m. our room was not ready. We waited in the lobby for about 45 minutes while being eaten alive by mosquitoes, and nobody ever offered us a drink in the lounge or apologized for the wait. I finally had to go ask again about our room as the staff seemed to have forgotten us. It still wasn't ready. My issue is that when you spend this much money on a hotel room, you expect to be able to use it for the hours you have paid. When we finally got to our room, the room itself was nice, with a spacious deck and an ocean view. In the room I tried to find out information on the restaurant and pool hours, amenities available etc. but there was no information in the room except a breakfast room service order form. Most hotels and motels will have a binder of information with this type of information, so I honestly felt like I was getting even less value for my money because I didn't know what was available to me. I would have been ok with checking this info online on my own except the WiFi DOES NOT work at all in the room. Anyhow we had dinner in the restaurant, food was fine but nothing to write home about. I woke up early the next day to use the pool, but nobody was staffing the pool house even though it was past their posted opening hour. We went and asked for a towel at the front desk and the staff couldn't find one. Eventually so much time had passed that we gave up on the idea of a morning swim and had to just check out and get a cab to the Ferry. I was really disappointed in this place.

Ia Orana,

I am sad to read your review and understand your frustration. Your check in incident is currently being investigated by our front office manager to understand what had occurred.

Concerning internet, all our rooms offer a cable connection, with no Wi-Fi access in rooms.

Indeed, December was a very difficult month with a very intense amount of rainfall compare to previous years adding difficulties with linen delivery but I can assure you that this problem is now resolved with the arrival of an important towel stock. Being wet season mosquitoes are more widespread than usual and despite treatment by our maintenance team this issue is difficult to wipe out completely.

Please accept my sincere apologies and thank you for your review.
