Dined Tues 24/7
Visiting from Australia, friends from Tenterden took us to dinner. We sat at a corner table, with window seating for some of our party. Table was comfortable, though the room was quite sparse, more modern in look. Nicki, owner chef was passionate about her food, and it showed in the dishes. A cut above pub food, well presented, flavoursome and quality ingredients. Salmon fillet cooked to perfection, and middle easten inspired dishes full of colour and taste. Homemade desserts a highlight. Wine list was small, would have wanted a bit more choice. Nicki spent time with us talking about new dishes she was creating. I was keen to see the kitchen, so on our way out popped ourselves through the door. A clean delightful space full of cookbooks and menu notes and spotless stainless steel benches. A sign of a serious foodie chef. Well worth a visit.
