“Great Sunday Lunch at the Staffordshire Knot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2012

we've just had a delicious Sunday Lunch in a really attractive pub. The roast beef was delicious. It is a long time since I have tasted such prime beef, cooked rare. The barmaid was very friendly and pleasant. The meal was £9.95 each, including desert. Outstanding value. We'll be back very soon.

“Cosy pub with excellent food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

We stopped here for lunch after a long walk, and were given a walm welcome in this cosy country pub. I warmed my feet by the open fire while the owner, who is also the chef, prepared us a delicious lunch. There was plenty of choice on the menu including traditional pub fayre plus some decent vegetarian options, and it was decent value.
It's definitely worth a visit if you are in the area, but would suggest you call ahead as apparently it's not open every day through the winter months.

Just about the best welcome i've received anywhere, couldn't be more accommodating, great choice of superb food, nothing too much trouble, very quaint and quirky pub.

“Great Sunday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2012

We have just had the most wonderful beef for Sunday lunch at The Staffordshire Knot. The building is fantastic and the food quality and presentation excellent. We have eaten here in the evening on a few occassions now and have never been disappointed with both the choice and quality of what Jacqui produces on her own from the kitchen. What more can you ask from a friendly country pub with open fires and tales of ghosts!
You need to phone to book.
We hear today that there will be a new fixed price menu on offer from the end of the month until March 2013. The menu sounds fantastic with a choice of 5 starters, 8 mains (including 2 vegetarian options) and deserts or cheese. 2 courses £14.95 3 courses £18.85 we will be there! Told choices will change and menu will be on website soon. We will cerainly be back soon.

“Gem of a country pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2012

This pub is signposted on the road from Hulme End to Hartington, and is well worth the detour. However please be aware that sometimes it is closed for lunch and in the evenings its a good idea to book or at least phone ahead.

The female chef runs around like mad, however on a really busy evening she coped admirably. The food was delicious throughout, and we left extremely stuffed.

Highly recommended if you are in the area.
