Our 3rd stay at this hotel(which says it all really). This time we stayed for a short 4day break, my wife and I and 2 grown up sons. The service and accommodation are exemplary, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. It is very difficult to continue with constant superlatives without seeming insincere, this place really is very good.
Excellent position to see Ypres and the various WW1 venues, or just to enjoy for its own sake.

We have stayed at Ariane several times since our last review in 2011 and as always found that the excellent standards are consistently maintained - there are always little changes here and there but with the sole objective of improving the overall service to guests - just as to be expected from a management and staff who are the recipients of the Trip Advisor award "Winner Travellers Choice 2013" All this is well known to the many regular clients but we can say without hesitation to any readers who have not yet stayed at Ariane that they can reserve the comfortable accommodation with every confidence and enjoy the all the benefits including dining in the excellent restaurant and breakfasting on the new and even wider choice menu available. The popularity of afternoon tea is evidenced by the support given by many of the residents of Ieper one of whom voiced the opinion that Ariane is probably the best hotel in the area. With the focus now on the centenary next year of the start of WW1 there is the distinct probability that large visitor numbers will be arriving - it is never too soon to make a provisional reservation - in our view you would be well advised to make it at Ariane - you will not be disappointed by your stay

Dear Guest, reading words like this make us feel quiet and proud! Receiving the Trip Advisor award "Winner Travellers Choice 2013" made us so happy and was a boost to keep up the good work!!
Each time again we try to keep our standards high by improving where it's needed. If a regular guest like yourself appreciates this, it feels so nice that after all these years we're still able to offer you a pleasant stay!
We consider you as part of the Ariane family and the only thing we want is that you feel yourself at home here with us! I can hardly wait to welcoming you here again with us!

Very nice, modern, friendly, family run hotel a short walk from the town center. Free onsite parking and free wifi are a bonus. Room was excellent. Reception were particularly helpful, providing a map and directions to the best parking for a trip we made to Bruges.

We based ourselves at the Hotel Ariane in Ypres to tour some of the famous WW1 sites. Ypres is a great town to use as a base with a lovely city centre, excellent In Flanders Fields Museum and the Menin Gate memorial. The Ariane is a perfect location for walking the town and also has good parking. Good bar food and restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff. We would recommend it unreservedly.

Room Tip: No special advice - our room was very satisfactory

Just returned and had also dinner there on the 11th November and as always very good food and excellent service.
The rooms are most comfortable and the new beds are certainly improved!

It is a pleasure to stay here with such welcoming and friendly staff all round. The lounge with open fireplace in the middle of the room is most comfortable to meet up with friends and other guests.
In the warmer months it is lovely to sit outside on the terrace. It has become very popular with local people eating there, a very good sign,

I'm cheating here as I've not been to the Ariane to stay for a couple of years or so but I've used the restaurant since then.

I cannot speak highly of this hotel and it is the one and only place I will stay at when I'm in Ypres.
The last time I went here was for my honeymoon (the wife and I are avid WW1 buffs) and, seeing we stayed at the Ariane when I proposed to my wife at the Menin Gate then it was the obvious choice.
Sadly on our way to the hotel we were caught up in the mother of all traffic jams (1 mile in 2 hours!) and the time for the table we'd booked in the Ariane was getting closer. We managed to get a phone call to them and they kept their staff on duty in the restaurant until we arrived....3 hours late.
We had a superb room, chocolates and wine were laid on and we were treated like royalty; the staff couldn't do enough for us and were so friendly.
We still get a Christmas card each year which is lovely.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Ariane to anyone wishing to stay in Ypres. It's not the cheapest place to stay or eat but, by God, it's worth every penny!

Room Tip: I would try to get a room at the opposite side of the hotel to the bar/restaurant. I'm not sayin...
