We stayed one night with our dog. We arrived 2 hours early , rang the bell but no answer, so we came back another hour after and nothing, so we waited in the courtyard for 20 minutes and at one point we finally met the owner who told us that the check in its at 5 but we are welcome to come in, Fair enough..
We got given a very large room on two levels with two tvs which we liked even though the decor was a bit tatty and a weird smell was present but clean and livable. Location is nothing special but the house itself is nice and old, rich of history, the gardens are pretty. The bed is large but the mattress is very old and uncomfortable, also because of the pretty busy main road just next to the inn, it's pretty noisy with trucks and car passing often also at night.
I would consider this more like a guest house / B&B than an hotel but its very cheap and chatting with the interesting lady owner and hearing some history about the place was worth all the stay. breakfast was limited but sufficient and cheap, I would have given 3 stars but she loves dogs so here we go, 4!
