We booked an evening meal at Cafedraal for Christmas Eve as there seemed to be a few non meat options for me as a pescatarian.
The restaurant was very busy that night, being fully booked downstairs so we were seated on the upper floor which was fine by us but not as full of atmosphere as downstairs.
In spite of being first diners seated upstairs we were last to leave, 3 course dinner and drinks taking 4 hours! It was quite funny as the wrong things kept coming out of the kitchen and the staff were getting a little stressed, we didn't really mind lingering but some guests were getting fed up waiting for their puddings by 10.30pm! We did get a complimentary dessert wine to apologise for the wait.
The food itself was really lovely, with fresh tasty ingredients. The cod for main course was particularly good though as a Brit I would've liked a few more vegetables. Desserts were gorgeous, very prettily presented and really yummy. Drinks are expensive but you can get a half bottle of wine for 20 Euros or so which isn't too bad for Bruges.
All in all, very nice dinner but service should've been better. Not sure if I'd visit for dinner again, maybe just for a lunch in the pretty courtyard.
