“Enjoyed my visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

I enjoyed my visit to this hotel 22 - 26 September 2013. I got room 339 with the tv that you can't see from the bed but I wasn't there to watch tv. Went with Shearings and this is only the second time I have used this company and so far the hotels have been very good. The Park Hotel is well placed for visiting Bruges and the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The dining room is very good especially during the day when the sun is out as it has a central solarium surrounded by lovely plants. The food was excellent especially the Flemish stew. The room was very clean and comfortable. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

Stayed in this hotel with a tour group and whilst I didn't experience any issues some of the other travellers did.

One couple awoke after the first night to find hundreds of tiny spiders in their bed, many of them dead. The hotel acted quickly and cleaned the room but didn't move them to another room which I thought they should have done.

The food served by the hotel was good but basic, if you're vegetarian then expect salad. The breakfasts weren't exciting.

Brugge is a lovely city and the hotel is well placed to explore it, the beds are comfy and rooms average.

We booked this hotel somewhat hurriedly at the last minute but were delighted with the location, value and overall cleanliness. The staff were helpful and the rooms were generously proportioned compared to what we've generally seen in Europe. The reasonable price included a very good breakfast buffet. The location isn't in the very heart of the old city but it's just a few minutes away on foot with lots to see and do across the street and within a few blocks. After checking out, we walked to the train station in just a few minutes. We'd go back.

Room Tip: Just be careful to lock the door when you leave the room; the "old-school" lock system doe...

Just had a lovey 3 night stay at the Park Hotel. The hotel was very clean, staff were very helpful . The room was very nice, and over looked the square. The hotel is in the right place for site seeing, shopping and to get to the old city, This was the second time we have stayed at the Park Hotel and we are looking for dates to go back again. Really lovely break.

We stayed at the Park Hotel for 4 nights, from the 25th August 2013. Having stayed at other Shearings hotels in the UK we were prepared for another "tired" hotel. This one was far from it! It was centrally placed, modern and well-looked after. The bedroom was roomy and quite luxurious. Admittedly there were minor issues - no shower curtain, no extractor fan, screen on window made bedroom seem dark, etc. The breakfast was an extensive continental breakfast. Our only suggestion would be to have the cups and saucers stacked beside the prepared coffee and tea - we always forgot to collect it and had to do a return journey! The staff were very helpful - even loaned me a plug adapter! We'll definitely stay there again.

This Hotel is situated in a large square and gives you easy access the this beautiful Medieval town.We stayed here from Sunday to Thursday and found the hotel to be very clean, the staff were helpful and our room had recently been refurbished. The food was very good.
The only draw back was the shower which was fitted in the bath and had no shower curtain hence to have a shower you washed the bathroom floor, despite this the bathroom was well appointed with nothing else left out.

I stayed in the Park Hotel, Brugges as part of a choir group who were touring Belgium and performing concerts in the area for three days in July. The hotel and staff were friendly and helpful to us and the rooms were clean despite the dated decor and peculiar carpet on the corridor doors and walls. We were given a twin room to share with a lovely view over the square to the fountain. I think the hotel seemed reasonable value for money especially as they would have offered a tour group rate. My only negative comment is that I found the bathroom got really hot as it had no extractor fan so I overheated in there and it was a relief to get the door open especially after either of us had shower. The rooms did have very comfy beds and our room was quiet at night. We took the hotel receptionist's recommendation and had an evening meal at a bistro across the square that served really delicious food. There was no shortage of places to eat but they did vary quite a bit in price. The hotel's breakfast buffet had something for everyone and was served in a bright dining area with an atrium roof.
