“Second stay at this charming and romantic hotel, will stay again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

My husband and I had a lovely stay here in July 2010, we always said we would stay again. This time our trip was in aid of celebrating our first wedding anniversary, therefore, it was a very special visit. As we had stayed here before, I decided to go direct to the hotel via email to discuss our stay. I wanted to ensure we had a lovely and romantic room with a canal view, to help us enjoy our anniversary. I went back and forth with several incredibly helpful members of staff with many requests - all of which were met and more. Nothing was too much and the service was delivered with a smile. (All this before we'd even arrived, I was impressed)! I knew we'd made the right decision to book here again!

We arrived late afternoon a little flustered after some rain and getting a little lost. We had an efficient check in and headed up to room 106. Within 5 seconds of walking into our lovely room we had forgotten all about the previous hour in the rain as we observed our champagne on ice and our lovely canal view (oh, not forgetting a cute heart made out of towels with pink rose petals on our bed)!! From this moment, we enjoyed the most romantic and special stay at this wonderful hotel in Bruges.

The location of this hotel is just perfect - 5 minutes from the Belfry and lovely and quiet!

Breakfast is really lovely - the best start to the day! My only gripe is that the scrambled eggs and bacon isn't that fresh and you can tell that. But other than that, it's a fantastic effort.

I would just like to thank every single staff member at the hotel who helped us out in anyway at all - you are obviously still exceeding your customer expectations! Keep up the very good work :)

I don't even know what ranking this hotel has amongst other Bruges hotel's, but I wouldn't even give the top 3 a second glance - this hotel is the one, so get booking!!

Our third stay at the hotel in three years, we've always been well looked after, this trip being no different.
Great choice of foods for breakfast.
Excellent location for getting around Brugge with plenty of bars and places to eat close by.

Will be back soon I'm sure

This hotel has an ideal position right in the heart of Bruges. It is clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a really excellent breakfast, both continental and English. All the Staff were friendly and helpful. We booked a triple room which was adequate for our needs but could perhaps have been a little larger to accommodate 3 persons and the wardrobe space was rather sparse. Having said that, however, all in all it was excellent value and a really good base from which to explore this beautiful town. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Exellent Centrally located hotel in Bruges.

We had a room on the top floor 2 and although very quaint, I found the room a little dark due to being in attic. Hotel very clean, staff friendly and helpful , breakfast excellent. Would use it again.

Room Tip: Ask for room on floor 1 over looking canal.

Positive side: Centrally located, spacious room and bath, accommodating staff, full breakfast, located on quite street with cafes and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to the market square.
Negative side: The arm chair needs new upholstery, soap dispenser need to be fixed, wifi is weak in our room. Probably bec our room was on the corner on the top floor.

Room Tip: We paid extra for the view of the canal fr room, but not worth it. The windows are small and you hav...

myself and partner stayed here for 2 nights in June on our 3rd stay in Bruges. we were very surprised at first when the receptionist took us back outside to our room until he explained our room was above the old stables, there was a wooden stair case up to a landing that had 3 doors, a cupboard, a large lovely bathroom and our very spacious room. Within the room was a lovely old fashioned fireplace and old style mat and furniture making it very homely and nice. we didn't have the breakfast as we felt 22 euro was a bit steep of a price tag so opted to get some within the town.
All in all the hotel was lovely even though it was slightly expensive us having the room we did helped as it was straight to it from the garden with no need to go into the actual hotel. It is in a good location, quiet and close to some lovely places to eat and drink but not too far from the markt and shopping area.

Room Tip: i would advise either a canal view, or the room we had, above the stables off the court.

We stayed here for our wedding anniversary from the 15th June for 3 nights. On arrival we were allocated a room on the top floor. There wasn't a view from this room but that didn't worry us as spent very little time there. It was a big room with periodic beams running through the ceiling. The bathroom was huge with 2 sinks and a bath.
The hotel is in a good location and a short walk from the town centre. Our only grumble was the breakfast which costs €22 each. However there is a lovely little cafe just down the road which is less than half the price. Overall a great periodic hotel with polite helpful staff in great location just over priced breakfast lets it down
