We only went into Nakhon Thai because the staff at theBar/Restaurant across the road were more interested in sending texts on their phones than serving customers. Lucky for us !
The food is not cheap but then you get what you pay for. The prices on the Menu outside looked to be a bit more expensive than you would find in the UK but then Rice was included in the price of the dish. As it was our last night in Bruges we decided to 'push the boat out' and opted for one of the set meals for 2 (Menu C in fact). It was €38 euros per person but it was an absolute feast with a champagne cocktail to start with. Be warned that the soup on gets hotter and hotter as you near the bottom of the dish, but the flavours were marvellous - as they were on all of the following dishes. The sauces did not overpower the meats as they so often do in the UK.
Everything was cooked fresh which is generally par for the course in Bruges and other places we have visited in Europe.
The décor is very clean and pleasant and the service helpful but not fussy.
The restaurant is located on Philipstockstraat which is off one of the corners of the main square where is located the Bell Tower.
One gripe which stops me awarding 5 stars was the price of a bottle of water - at €6.50 euros this is seriously over the top and tantamount to 'taking the mickey'. So if you do visit ask for tap water with ice (and confirm it is free before drinking).
I would certainly go again.
